Water and Soil Propagation, DIY soil mix + Chat
มุมมอง 2234 ปีที่แล้ว
Coming back into youtube videos for a second shot. I've opened a plant shop in the last few months and it's been a wild ride. Now that I've settled in I've decided to dive back into youtube. Sorry for the sound quality, I think I need a microphone. And a better camera. I'll work on making better quality videos, promise! Also-wow, the number of times I say "Um" in this is terrible. I apologize-I...

Pencil Cactus Division Timelapse
มุมมอง 1.9K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I had this GIANT, MASSIVE pencil cactus and decided to divide it. Let me tell you, I was SWEATING while doing this. Its roots were so root bound I have to saw it apart. I'm happy to report new growth on all of the babies, including a branch I accidentally separated without any roots. haha. WIN.

My son and I were bored, so we cut up one of our big monstera deliciosa. I decided to add a bit of info on care at the end just to give this video more of a purpose. lol.

Question Hope you see this. I purchased a nice size snake plant from my local garden store, and it has ants in it, found this out after I repotted the plant and didn't notice until after as I seen the ants running around on the table. I then called the garden center and told them about the problem they remembered me and told me to come up they would give me some stuff to treat the plant to kill the ants. I did treat and also did a second treatment I'm worried because the first treatment didn't work. I don't want to kill my snake plant do to adding the water with the treatment being done. do you think I need to repot again but shake off all the dirt and go from there??? hoping to hear from you.
Thank you I can see what your doing better
Can you get closer to the plants the next time
One of my sanserveria has grown a strange addition. I get "pups all of the time. This is very different. I've never seen it before. All I can think of is that it might be some kind of sucker. I'm not sure what, if anything, I should do about it. It has grown very tall very fast, has tiny growths on it and they have, what appears to be, droplets of sap.
I finally scored one of these, good size in a 4” hanger, sold as “Monstera Ginny.” Much to my happiness, a plant boutique opened in my town, great selection and the plants aren’t watered to death and already in a decline when you bring them home. Mealy bugs seem to be a huge problem in the northeast, not sure which is worse, them or spider mites. I had an outbreak of mealy bugs last year on the plants I have staying in the atrium at my mom’s house. By the time I noticed, it was pretty bad, lost a few Hoyas. Don’t use dish soap ever, too many chemicals. Use a Castile soap, like Dr Bronners. Personally, I buy insecticidal soap. Don’t want to dick around, especially with spider mites, use the biggest guns you have from the gate. Cut the plant back as much as possible, and watch it like a hawk, spray every time you see them. I’ve been able to eradicate mealy bugs, though it takes forever. But once a plant gets spider mites, it seems you never get rid of those little f******.
Subscribed! Please post more plant videos. May I know how old that snake plant is under your care? Can you share the care tips (light, fertilization etc) that made it grow so big?
I have a snake which has been in our family for 35+ year's, today it's almost 6' tall. I'm afraid to replant or repot. Huge.
what is that plant in the middle just right of the sansevieria?

Don't 😂😂
Can you do an update on how these plants are doing after being separated I know it's been a long time but I'm debating on separating mine?
Beautiful plants
Beautiful.happiness in leaf vlog
I love this space but damn I hope you own this house. I would be so pissed if my tenants kept all these plants or any plants on the carpet. destroys the carpet and is a health hazard. but this room really reminds me of where I grew up
My sansievarias have been outside all summer in wales uk. Lots of rain and sun. They have grown huge and put out loads of new growth. They don’t seem to mind lots of water as long as they can drain. They survive dark dry conditions, but love wet bright conditions.
How is this leaf now
Aren't those pots too big for those divisions?
What is the name of the plant to your left and the left of the hanging chair ,in the white pot
