Sweet looking setup!
Thank you
Just checked the price of a Timney in Australia. $375!!!! Retractable pen spring - free!!
Target shooting (benchrest) only - no field work. Using CZ452 Varmint and CZ 455 American. Same method used on both. Replaced the trigger spring with a very light spring. Trigger pressure approx 1/2 pound. Placed foam rubber between trigger and trigger guard. This raised the trigger pressure to 1.5 pound. The effect is that there is no transmission between the take up and trigger release pressure. This means that you concentrate on your hold and sight alignment/placement. Hold steady and just increase pressure on the trigger until you get a "surprise" release. Really accurate result because no change in trigger release pressure to disturb aim.
My Tikka A1 is like that lol
What kind of scope is that?
Red Dot
My understanding is it's a bolt lift kit. The bearings make it easier to cock the firing pin when lifting the bolt after firing.
It will help with that a little, but you need to modify the gas baffle, that will lift the bolt easier after firing
What’s the blue screw driver set?
Just a cheap brand from Aldi.
👍
How is your brass prep and 550 bench secured so it doesn't wobble? I'm not sold on the super trickler quite yet. I was an early adopter but it seems every time there's an update or I want to tinker with a new load, I end up being frustrated for an hour or so at least.
I haven't bolted it to the wall yet, it's called laziness lol, still works well. I have never updated the ST software, its always worked spot on
Nice. I use ar2206h with the 75gr bthp it’s a wee tac driver.
I used that as well before I found the 77gr F bomb at Rexem.
What a dream of a reloading room ! Well done sir, and greetings from Ct.
Thank you.
Beautiful rifle!
I tried Wolf/Tula large rifle primers that I got like 15 years in my 338 Lapua & I had consistent hang fires ….you know click -bang mili second delay but noticeable . Didn’t bother setting up the chronograph but that was enough testing for me 😂. Glad it worked out for you hope you don’t get hang fires if the temps drop drastically in your neck of the world .
Fix your dial. It just raised my anxiety through the roof! 😄
I bought one a few months ago and my mate also got one. Very impressed with the quality. That looks a lot like Oakleigh pistol club range ????
Can you please share a link to these products or the Facebook post they are from? There are multiple versions of these printed accessories and I think many people would like these same ones! Thanks for your help in advance!
Can you do a JB cleaning video next time you have to clean your rifle sir 🙏
What’s the headspace measurement after getting the case sized down for easy chambering?
I found that case difference was 5 thou before running it through the small case die. After running it through the die it had the same spec HS as a new case before shoulder bump.
At least in .308 it does resize the necks
This die only sizes the body of the case
The small base die was a good fix for the swollen cases .
It’s definitely a must do
It works just as well in revolver cylinders to get the carbon build up out as well.
Cheers for the review, nice to see Aussie content. I use JB in my revolver and it's fantastic for getting the forcing cone bright and smooth again, not to mention the bore itself. Also great in self-loading pistols. Look into the special felt pellets to apply it, much better than using a cloth patch.
Will definitely look it up
I've never had that problem but I've thought if I did if spray carburetor cleaner might work?
Not it’s pretty hard to get out. Every gun develops carbon ring, but you would know unless you had a barrel endo scope
very helpful, thanks mate
That seems like a lot of BS to go through compared to the US . Here you pick out the weapon you like , the dealer calls in a back ground check , pay for it and take it home .
Unfortunately we can only have a handgun to use at a gun range. We cannot use it anywhere else. It must travel to and from the range only.
The US has a boat load of nonsense that wasn't necessary under the original Constitution, in years prior to 1871. Australia is very restricted and licensed, but their citizens should be encouraged to cajole their officials to change their minds and ways. Until then, you do what you can. Same as US people, under the current circumstances, we should do what we can to return the country to how it was established.
The best part of this video mate was the excitement and look in your eyes when you said of course my first was a 357 magnum. Nice gun mate!
🙏
How difficult is it to remove the magazine tube? Any tips?

jesus can you not tell by the way its jumping and the force you are using on the handle the mandrel or inside of the neck needs some lube
The way the cases are poppng into the mandrel bugs me a bit, but, part of that is the bench, Could certainly reinforce it under that lip on the bench. You really shud have shown the setup on the mandrel too. I use dry neck lube for the mandrel, no extra cleaning with that stuff, other than maybe a brush to the neck after, if a person wants to do that. Mandrel is the way to go though, definitely easier on the cases, and such a quick step, it is hardly noticeable.
Hello hows it shoots whats if fav ammo and grain ?
It was the 168gr BTHP at 44gr, but I’m experimenting with the 174gr eld-vt at the min.
@EricChristopher-mr5kt thanks alot brother im going to buy this i was serching so i find your video .. we have 168 grain and 175 grain ammo ... can you tell me both can perform well? Do you still have this rifle ? Please tell me do you recomend this? Thanks alot for your time and responce
@EricChristopher-mr5kt also im i wants to know have you ever tried winchester m118 lr 7.62x51 ammo in this?
Great info, but would help a lot of people if you linked contact of product like most other TH-camrs do..
Great idea, thank you
Australian software, Danish hardware
As we all have experienced, worldwide shortages and logistic jams means you cannot rely on buying the particular ammo that works for your rifle when you need it. Thus, it still pays to reload as an occasional hunter. Even as a reloader, there is a scarcity of any given projectiles, powder, primers at times. Thus I am delving into lead casting to reduce my dependency on the uncertain market.
I live in Colorado, Got mine from Carl at uglyrelaodingUSA. Works nice and Carl was very helpful with getting the accessories I needed to make mine work for me. He has all kinds of reloading stuff.
I started with this exact same kit and regret wasting my money on it. That $40 could have went towards a decent tool as opposed to a cheap tool that I never use anymore. I actually only made a hand full of rounds before I realized that consistency was lacking in the flares and crimps. So now I only buy quality tools. And I still have this cheap Lee Classic Loader kit rusting away in a cabinet to remind me to go with quality or for get about it! Hate to see videos that recommend this cheap tool knowing that more people will waste their money on such. Also the recommendations by many to get the Richard Lee reloading manual is just as much a joke as Lee's presses. As Richard Lee's manual is the last one anybody should ever get. And yes I have it sitting on a shelf too because so many TH-camrs recommended it. Not to mention I bought the Lee dipper set and found them to be lased with static electricity. Might I add that they now sit in the cabinet as well. All-in-all I bought $80 worth of Lee stuff that was a total waste of money. The only thing Lee makes that is top notch is their Factory (Collet Style) Crimp dies [not to be confused with Lee's Factory (carbide style) crimp dies, as they are a gimmick of sorts. That's right they only iron out the bulges they themselves make in the first place. Yet the Factory (collet style) crimp dies have no need for a carbide ring cause they never ever cause a problem that would need ironing out to start with. Again I recommend the Lee Factory (collet style) crimp dies above all other crimp dies on the market as of today.

Dude, you’re an actual genius. I just snapped a pin off of my die and I’ve ordered a whole new set. 😂
😆, would go that far 😆
Hey mate you’ve probably already tried them but my tac a1 loves the hornady 75gr bthp loaded at 2.285 coal. Using ar2206h.
Absolutely
Sorry, I will reload till I am 6 feet under. Bad title.
@@3dtexan890 😜 So will I , can’t be that bad a title, made you watch haha. Enjoy your day
I keep a reloading set up with adequate supplies for the SHTF time. At some point ammo will be worth more than gold. I also buy ammo every month. Stock up!
Have had outstanding accuracy out of Lee dies and presses!
Just bought mine today :)
Awesome
357 or 375?
375
Sweet. How does that compare to the old 38-55wcf?
@@BB-ih3bk Have never used one so couldn’t tell you.
... pretty heavy & shaky looking setup ... get a red dot
Tried it yesterday and it awesome.
Just bought new one , 20inch SS ,44mag. Sadly far too hard to load and will not feed. looks great as a wall ornament !.
It get better the more you use it.
Good video & I agree. I'm at the stage of where I'm ready to upgrade my equipment. I, like you, want the best possible result that I can get accuracy wise with my reloads. I started with (and I'm currently using) a Lee 4 hole turret press. While I appreciate it, I also realize that it's not what I need for precision rifle or bulk pistol. It was a great press to get my feet wet, but I'm ready to move to a good single stage for my rifle ammo and a progressive for my bulk pistol. I'm also looking at inline seater dies and more brass prep tools that I didn't realize I needed. It's a rabbit hole and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
Awesome
It’s always a good day when we go to the shooting range 😁. What loads are you using in the revolver?
125gr round flat tip 3.5gr Red dot powder
@@EricChristopher-mr5kt Thanks champ 👍
you’re welcome
Looks like an endoscope with zoom. Drill out the center of a 7/8 wooden dowel and make it a holder. Brilliant idea you got there 👍
I like that idea 💡
