As a professional metal finish guy... I do this for a living. I HATED some of the stuff you did. But bro... It turned out amazing. Shoot me an email or reply back and I'll shoot you an email and give you some tips to use some chemistry in your refurbs. Pretty easy stuff, I promise. But it'll make your results ALOT better, and take your handwork down.

Nice job...looks great! An easier...and much cleaner way to regrip is to use plain two inch wide masking tape and iso-alcohol. Once dry the grip is absolutely tight. But when you want to change it out...the grips come back off without cutting. Just use an air compressor with blow nozzle...through the hole in the back of the grip. Last season I regripped my Ping AYD putter but at the time wasn't sure if I wanted to adjust the shaft length. This past week I decided I wanted to shorten it. I took it out to the garage and used the compressor to remove the grip. Cut it down a half inch and put the perfectly good grip right back on. If I had glued it on last spring I would have had to destroy it to get it off. Nice putter grips ain't cheap!😁

A one way chipper is a legal club. A two way chipper or one with a putting grip is illegal. Even if you are not playing in tournaments your informed buddies will call you on that.

What’d you use for the white? Have seen people use white out pens but that doesn’t seem like the best idea

Also, play from the proper tees or you'll have a long day. If you hit 7iron only 150, never play anything longer than 6.6 yds if you wanna actually try an score. You'll never have a scoring club in your hand and part 3's are usually a coin toss on making part.

Learning fundamental body rotation helps so much. It's like going from driving manual to automatic. Now the real depth sets in. Learn how to play the hole backwards. Learn what's your most consistent wedge distance an learn to play to that number. During my PGA player ability test I would dictate tee shots and second shots on part 5's to get me as close to 125-130yds because it meant I had a full swing gap wedge that I would just hit to the center of the greens. Regardless of pin position aim center green. Don't flirt with back pins at all, majority of amateurs don't generate enough to hold a green and your up and down percentage even for high single digits is less than 50 percent.... But more importantly than playing well, have fun. As a 3 handicap that got down to a 1, even if I'm losing my mind I remind myself to enjoy time with the fellas.

i got these when they first came out back in 2004. they were my first set of muscle backs. if mizuno retro'd these i would buy another new set in a heart beat. good luck with them and treat them well lol!
