The tip about the lips in a line or the lips open was a new tip for me. Thanks for the many tips about b and d.
When I watch your videos they frequently pause, as though the internet connection was interrupted. I have never experienced this on any other TH-cam channel I watch. Is it possible your internet connection is weak when you record?
There was a lot of pausing too, I would also say when recording there must have been an internet connection.
Really helpful video! 🤩
This is such an informative lesson. I really enjoy it. May I please if the scope and sequence you mentioned might be a bit more different when it comes to ESL students?
I love recommending Libby to my parents as a resource for their struggling readers of all ages. I tell them to click on the read along filter instead of audiobook option so it will highlight the text while it reads it to them.
Thank you for always sharing your expertise! I love all of these warm-ups and plan to use them with my twist! I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a spot it in CANVA for the reading skills that the students have learned. That is just an idea!
Awesome helpful ideas, thank you!
These ideas are great!!
I really appreciate these fresh ideas!
Thank you for the suggestions! Love the snap it alligators and Spot It Game!
Thank you for your video, Emily. A quick comment here, but your actual part of the video where you should have the materials like the snap alligators or the rainbow letter, looks small :( I got the gist of it but just fyi. Thanks for sharing these ideas!
Great lesson. I love that you have many different ways to instruct the morphology lesson. I particularly like the morphology board that you made and using different colors for prefixes and suffixes.
not seeing the link for the bingo
I where do you find the BINGO card. The email says it is after the video.
I grabbed it! What a great change in BINGO for orton gillingham!
For the encoding are they writing the words that you already cut out? Im sorry I was a little confused on that
So grateful for your work and resources!
These are great. You amaze me at your continued effort to provide such wonderful resources.
you can fix the video mirroring options so that your books can be seen correctly instead of reverse by us.
I am a long retired teacher, am tutoring reading and playing major catch up. Thank you for these suggestions!
Good as always……. Thank you for sharing
6th grade Progression chart please.
Thank you Emily, I didn't know about boom decks or Membean's word roots feature. I always learn so much from your videos!
You will be a fantastic OG fellow!
Thank you! I am taking my test on Monday. 😁
Very lively video🙌 I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I can help you create better distribution through your videos?
Is this appropriate for a homeschool mom of a dyslexic 11 year old. He struggles with reading, spelling, writing. Thank you
Hi Lauren! Absolutely! You'll find all of the information applicable for homeschooling families.
The extra "wah" really bugs me when a teenage does it.
Hi, Emily! Thank you for sharing the news about your new OG adventure!! You will be an extraordinary OG Fellow, Emily!!! Best of luck on your journey! I don't know how you do all that you do, with your TPT store, your weekly training videos, the Tutor Academy, and your podcast with Casey Harrison! PLUS, you have a family with four children!! OMG!! Where do you get all of your energy!! I am so in awe of you, Emily!!!
thank you for all of your help! I am so inspired by you!! I have received most of my students through word of mouth though I definitely am thinking about reaching out to schools and local psychs!
Thanks for your tips, Emily. My wishlist always has great products in it!
Thanks so much for the tips! Super helpful!
This was really fabulous, Emily! Morphology has been implemented in its 'infancy' in my school district & it's been amazing how the students have been paying attention to 'words' and those base roots...meanwhile, their teachers have been rather negative and uncompromising claiming 'morphology' might be a waste of time....not really...our kiddos are making connections, even kids with learning disabilities and challenges are making connections! How great is that?! Best ever! Thank you for your constant inspiration, knowledge, and sharing!
How expensive is it to be trained in the Orton Gillingham Method? Is there an online certification training program?
Depending on where you are, Orton Gillingham training can be $1500-$5000
Want the Decodable book you created
This is sparking SO MANY ideas on how to incorporate more morphology into my OG lessons! I am so inspired! Thank you, Emily!
Thank you so much
Great idea! Thanks for the post!
This is such a well made video
Finally, thank you for information-filled video clip.😊 How do you explain to the student, the word, wind vs. wind with a short /i/ ?
I love when "exception words" are moved into the "totally makes sense" column when we understand them more fully. 🙂 P.S. I've listened to a bunch of "Together in Lit." podcast but had never actually seen your face, lol. It's good to put a face to your voice and name!
These are great ideas, and I love all the little manipulatives I need to make a trip to dollar tree. Thank you!
I LOVE QR codes! I want to use this idea for teachers at an Educators' Conference I am speaking at in Wisconsin next week. I have six sessions on topics related to dyslexia, so will have six audiences to share the Together in Literacy podcast codes with. The little baggie of candy is a great idea, but I may try printing them onto address stickers and putting onto mini candy bars to pass around at each session of the conference. Genius, Emily!
I have a question. How I know what is the right suffix or prefix to add to any word I come across? For example: suppose I came across a new word which is a verb, and I wanted to transform it into noun, how I know the right suffix to add to get the noun?
When I create a collection, do I need to pay to create it?
Hi Emily, Thank you so much for clarifying this process. This information is new to me, and I am grateful that you put this clip together. I am certified through the OGA academy and I really want to continue my certification. I watched your KEEPRI exam explanation and am wondering if CERI and KEEPRI are similar. Thank you for being a continuing resource for me as I navigate my OG tutoring career. 😊
Would words on flash cards fit it the spaces? I’m thinking of older students matching for example words with long a (ai and a-e words could be a match). But maybe the print would have to be too small. Just wondering.
Hi Emily! I am such a fan of yours and LOVE all your creative ideas. Finding new fun and creative ways to keep students engaged is one of my passions. Thank you for always sharing your best with us. ❤
Such a great idea, Emily! Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea!
