I want to ask about the authenticity of the following holy hadith: "On the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: God Almighty said: O son of Adam, do not be afraid of someone with authority as long as My authority ........" Classification: weak and fabricated hadiths Fatwa number: 43669 Answer: We did not find this hadith attributed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, neither in the famous collection! of Islam, nor in the scattered parts of the hadith that we have before us. Rather, we did not find it in books compiled to uncover fabricated hadiths. As long as this is the case, it is not permissible to attribute it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And something like this is said about it: it is fabricated or has no basis. lbn al-Jawzi said: How good is the saying of the one who says: if you see a hadith that contradicts what is reasonable. or contradicts what is transmitted. or contradicts the principles, then know that it is fabricated. Al-Suyuti said in Training the Narrator: The meaning of it contradicting the principles is that it is outside the collections of Islam from the well-known Musnads and books. Rather, we found it in the book Al-Futuhat Al-Makkiyah by lbn Arabi, and the book Al-Mustarif fi Kul Fan Mustadharf by Al-Abshihi. attributed to Ka'b Al-Ahbar that he found these words in their length in the Torah. It is not certain that his attribution to Ka'b is valid either. because it is not reported by attribution to him, and the two books mentioned are not among the books approved by scholars for transmitting news. Sheikh Abd al-Rahman al-Muallami said: Not everything attributed to Ka'b in the books is proven by him. as liars after him attributed many things to him that he did not say. Assuming that it is correct to attribute this to Kaab, which is unlikely, then he is nothing more than an Israeli woman. See Fatwa No.: 17575. and Fatwa No.: 16467. This supposed "hadith al qudsi" is a FABRICATION that has been circulating for years. May Allah forgive Sheik Metwalli Ash'arawi for this mistake. Please stop sharing it and inform people that it is a Fabrication The hadith doesn't exist in any hadith compilation. It is rather mentioned as a quote of Ka'ab al-Ahbaar which he found in the Torah according to ibn 'Arabi ابن عربي in his al-Futuhaat al-Makiyyah الفتوحات المكية and in al-Mustatraf min Kulli fannin Mustadhraf المستطرف في كل فن مستظرف of al-Abshyhy الأبشيهي both didn't quote a connected chain of narrators therefore one could safely consider this is a fabrication or (and this is the best case) among the israeliyaat as neither the sources are reliable hadith sources nor do they quote any chain to the supposed source (Ka'ab al-Ahbaar).
