Steve's Garage Show
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 23 พ.ย. 2014
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Steve Belfer is an animation director and music composer in the Los Angeles area.
Steve is most famous for composing original music for SpongeBob Squarepants including the ubiquitous Closing Theme song.
Steve races his dad's old 1962 Triumph TR3 race car in Vintage Racing events in (mostly) southern california. In this channel, steve works on this classic triumph as well as the 1966 Land Rover Series 2a that he inherited from his dad's best friend.
Not directly, "how-to" videos, Steve documents his garage projects in this series
Being a creative guy and having produced funny content for 30 years, Steve incorporated "Nigel" a clumsy robot sidekick to the show who generally doesn't help very much, other than providing some comic relief to the busted knuckles and frustrations of working on old leaky British cars.

Replacing Wheel Cylinder Land Rover Series IIA Fun Times
S6E6
After bleeding the brakes numerous times on my 1966 Land Rover Series 2A, the pedal kept going soft. I decided to use a Vacuum Brake Bleeder and in doing so, found out that the Wheel Cylinder bleeder valve was leaking. This video shows how I fixed it and created a new problem. This Land Rover keeps on giving me hours of alone time figuring stuff out. Is it fun, is it frustrating, kind of both, I guess. After fixing it, I took my dog to the local Dog Park in the Landy and we had some fun after a hard day's work on the car.
"Steve's Garage Show" is a place where I document my work on vintage British cars in the garage, give how-to videos, as well as showcase my instrumental original music. Being an animation guy, I incorporate short animations, clips of my dog, and my clumsy robot sidekick, Nigel.
Additionally I show racing action videos, funny segments with animals, as well as graphic design, tutorials. This might seem like a lot of different things but, these are all of my interests all in one show!

Great video Steve, keep them coming 👍
Thanks Mitch!
Had starfire in 1968-1969 - i am still riding (at age 75) my current ride is royal enfield classic 500. They have the same vibe.
What an amazing video . I did exactly the same sort if thing with a Triumph 350 when I was about the same age . Sadly I didn't video it . The smile on your face when you rode it says it all . Thanks for sharing that . Brought back such memories to ne .
Thanks for the great comments. Yeah it was a huge thrill at the time. Now that I’m older, I see how I would have done it differently but that’s what time will do. It was a cool bike and I ultimately sold it to a TV actor after driving it around Los Angeles for a year or so
I think it’s the ss80…..I had one of these.
A Superb Video of a Beautiful BSA C15. ❤
Thanks a lot!
Had a '68 just like that one, came in several boxes. Traded a 10 speed bike for it. Restoring it was great therapy after the loss of my son.
Thanks for watching the vid. I know how meaningful these restorations can be. I was restoring this while my dad was losing a cancer battle and I wanted him to see that I could do this on my own after so much working together in the garage growing up.
What a crap video.
Great video,great memory,great motorcycle,handsome young man.
Hahah thanks!
love the sound🎉🎉
It was a real “Thumper”. Old British vehicles all have cool sounds of their own!
You are right it had the Victor bottom end 👍🏴
I had a C11 last of the single side band 350
I had a B40 SS90 in the early 80’s. Great bike with bigger wheels than the C15.
Looks like a circa 1966/67 BSA C15 Sportsman not a Star ?
I remember that it was a '66. I sold it to an up and coming TV actor at the time and away it went! Such a cool bile with the speedo in the headlight assembly. I may very well be incorrect on the model designation but it had chrome fenders and headlight. I changed the handlebars that were similar to complete the build that may have been lower than stock. Thanks for watching the vid!
Yes, the chromed fenders, headlight and humped seat indicate Sportsman. The 1966 G model was the last (and best) of the C15.
I had a C15 in the 60s and it was reasonably OK but then my friend got a Honda Dream Sports 250 with electric start and a BIG front brake. After that the Beezer became somewhat disappointing.
I kind of did the reverse. I had a Yamaha 125 Dual Purpose bike when I was younger and the BSA felt "vintage" right away. Now I have a 66 land rover, slow, poor brakes, clunky, but iconic and cool
I had a BSA Starfire I bought used in the early 1970s that I absolutely loved to ride.
Was that choke still on for a while , tight cable off . Good memories to look back on .
It was so long ago I can't remember!
@@stevesgarageshow have you still got it 😗 I recently bought a 54 bsa b33 that has a goldstar look .
@@Cobra427Veight I sold it around 1999 or 2000 to a hollywood actor who had just gotten a big break. I was sad to see the bike go but I have to say, the front and rear drum brakes were not that effective
Where was this in Weho?
Close NoHo Toluca lake to be exact
Made my day ... teenager of the 60s turned old guy, and I'd love to own that Beezer. What a sweet machine, great looking, great sound. Hot damn!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was cool bike. Love the thumper
I have one of those in my shop waiting to be restored!
I was a scooter boy in the 60s before real bikes, but rode a few Ceefees. Felt very grunty after a Lambretta 150. Yes, I said to my lovely wife as we watched this, they all do sound like that. All the best keith
My wife (then fiance') did not enjoy riding on this bike as a passenger and I sold it not long after this video. Also, the front and rear drum brakes were barely adequate
@@stevesgarageshow Forgot to say just how much your smile when the Ceefee ran just lit up the whole deal. Many thanks. I think brakes were semi optional in those days.
@@keithbarker-e4q it was an exciting moment, like when I start up the TR3 after a rebuild
Great video. So cool that you have it. You did a fantastic job. I’m impressed. Cheers for all the good old times. Good friends too. Very nice. Thanks.
I was (and still am) such a dork
First view…I win!
Wow, Dave, you sure did. and I sure got OLD!
Lovely feel to that. Car and driver synching well. Thanks again.
Thanks, I fell pretty relaxed in my TR3. It's a good car
Thumbs up! More great footage. Thanks.
Thanks Dave, there were some low-visibility situations at Willow!
Wow! Super cool! Great footage.
Thanks! I was really young in this vid with my dad
Leisurely laps.
Hahaha I'm pedaling as fast as I can!
Fun watch as always! Thanks Steve!
Thanks for checking it out!
Another great video on your poster creation Steve… I’m putting together a photo/info file on my C7 for you 👍
Thanks Mitch!
Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! Thanks for checking it out
cOOL great graphic compositional skill, just like your music...
Thanks T!
This was fun to watch . You ought to do a poster for the Range Rover.
Good idea!
I have one of Steve's posters of my race car and it is prized. Steve has done numerous awesome posters for VARA events over the years. Super talented designer.
Thanks Ken!
That ted 1964 Ekva Courier was once owned by my father.
Wow, that's such a great car. I race my Dad's old TR3 so I know what it's like to see your dad's race car
Well Done Steve,Great Driving and a Fine TR3! As a 1-3 year old (born.1960) I remember Riding in my Dad's Lt. Blue w/wht Rag Top ! They are rarely seen anymore. Thank You,there are times when I felt I was behind the wheel!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I rode in my dad's TR3 when I was a kid as well and it's the same feeling now!
I’ve seen this class several times in my life. That TR3 is very quick. Must be the driver.
My TR3 is pretty well sorted. It's not the fastest but I do my best!
@@stevesgarageshow well, if that’s you, just damn. I had a 914 and that thing handled. I believe I could beat any TR 3 at the autocross.
Yooo am first am big fan of music
Thank you!
Steve, nice video! Beautiful car! I loved the battle with the 914-6. I have a quick question for you about your car. What is the clear tubing coming from the dash, up and over attached to the roll bar passenger side?
ooh, and are you all in a 2 liter class?
Grinning ear to ear rn
And I discover him at last... the musical soul of United Plankton Pictures. ❤
Yup that’s me! You might dig my official music channel on YT
Wow! passing a 3rd gen RX7? Great sounding TR!
To be fair, there are many different skill levels in Vintage Racing and it takes a few years to get comfortable at speed. I'm sure the RX7 will be very quick with more seat-time
So excited to return to this track on the 4th of July 🇺🇸. Get video showing the fast lines
I love that you have this little ice chest on the passenger side, in case you really get thirsty :) Great drive and great car man
Race hydrated!, haha it's a cool-shirt ice chest
Very cool. Nice camera angles, excellent editing. Great car, making superb sounds.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching. Val is really quick
wOw----I was on the edge of my seat the whole freakin RACE... Thats Bangin Gears for sure, that guys a racer 8-)
I'm glad you enjoyed the race!
Well done.
What an eclectic mix of classic race cars. The little TR is punching above it's weight & handling itself well among more modern cars.
