    I have had a set of Markof for three years. My merino wool liners tore and they gladly sent me a new pair. I recently purchased a set of Alta mitts and the combination is incredibly warm. Great company, great service. Only drawback is you have to wait about a month to get their products, at least here in the US.

  • @larry8056
    @larry8056 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you really need the levelling base when both these tripods come with dual panning heads? If the legs are not level, is it not possible to just unlock the ball on the ball head, level the top plate on the head, lock the ball then if you are panning/rotating use the top panning feature only.

    • @thephotographyworkshopco4520
      @thephotographyworkshopco4520 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another point i should also mention is if you are tilted over in portrait orientation, if the legs are not level or shooting on a slopping ground, you sometime cant get enough movement in a ball head to get level or stay level. By levelling the base first you then get the entire ball head level and make use of the full range of movement/adjustment without needing to ever need to adjust the legs. The other fact is for video where I use video heads that dont have a tilt adjustment and you must use the levelling base. Cheers, Jay

    • @scottstramyk

      The choice for this specific ISO is to best represent the settings for this demonstration. I will sometimes use 320 ISO for landscape images naturally in hte field. There is no rule to always use 100 ISO. I use what I need to give me the look and feel I want to achieve depending on the conditions.

    Nicely produced video. At timestamp 4:10 you mention changing your shutter by 6 stops, however you do not explain to the audience the relation of "F Stop" to "Shutter Speed". How do we determine what 6 stops is? You might want to point the audience to a ND Timer application to assist them in making the determination.

    • @scottstramyk
      @scottstramyk ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. Norfolk is a stunning island! When focusing I generally focus on the subject I want people to be drawn to. In this case the waterfall itself. If it’s a landscape I’ll focus a third of the way into the scene to give me the best depth of field for the scene.

    Really with the improvements in LR and PS, the only filter you can't duplicate in post is a polarizer filter. Saves a lot of time and over thinking when in the field to just shoot and not worry about which filter is needed. Of course each to their own as they say. Very good video though.
