เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 25 มี.ค. 2024
Welcome to Last Breath Woodworks!!!
Please join me in my new journey. After facing a health crisis that nearly cost me my life and has taken me out of the traditional workforce, I have turned to woodworking as both a therapy and a new occupation.
On this channel we will dive into all sorts of avenues! Including: lathe turning, flat work, custom and rustic furniture builds, cabinet making, power and chainsaw carving, metal fabrication and almost anything else imaginable!
I love challenging myself and trying new things. Yes... mistakes will be made... but overcome! So please come along on this adventure and we can learn together, having some fun along the way.

Looks awesome Josh 👌 😎
Oh, I didn’t know that about open grain wood and glue…. Thanks 😮
Very interesting technique!
@@Freakymum1645 Thanks so much for watching!!! Always trying to do something different from everyone else. Sometimes a struggle to come up with new ideas
Outstanding work ❤
@@DaveCollierCamping Thanks Dave! 🫡 Cleaning shop now, but should have much more content out very soon 👍
Very good - new friend here
@@DaveCollierCamping Thanks and welcome! 🫡 Appreciate your support 👍
Amazing work ❤
@@DaveCollierCamping Thanks so much!!!
Very Nice Josh! Love how the dowels look . 👍👍
@@JayCreatesWoodworks Thanks Jay! 🫡 Trying to come up with new ways to use scraps other than kindling 😉👍
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks I hear that. I had a plan to hit the shop today and use some scrap for something but when I got there I was sorting out the box and couldn't come up with anything so I moved on to starting to make the cuts for my cart build.
Very nice Josh!!!! I gotta get a lathe sometime soon.
@@Rickercreations Thanks John! 🫡 They are fun and open up so many possible ways to use scraps and otherwise unusable wood 👍
❤
@@AmyJo143 🙂↕️
Oh man I can't wait to see what you do with those 😁👍
@@joshhelms8290 Should make some pretty cool stuff 👍
👻🍻
@@katspeace5550 😏😏😏
Wow, this is really smart, and beautiful.
@@Freakymum1645 Well Thanks so Much!!! Was definitely a challenge that paid off in the end!!! 👍 Getting requests for similar designs for Christmas 🤔
Nice one
@@myhoneyshandmade1077 Thanks Steve!!🫡
Keep them coming!!
@@scottbyrd2157 Will do! 🫡
Now you doing it bud!! Where are you located? Keep them shorts coming!
@@scottbyrd2157 Thanks, I will! 👍 I'm in central Wisconsin
I like this video a lot and the long version is amazing
@@WedoweeHandyman Thanks Joe! Working on ideas for the next project now 👍
Beautiful work!! Haven’t gotten into a lathe yet. Hope to soon. Keep up the work steady videos and eventually they will catch up and steady. I subscribed from seeing your channel link on Viking Woodworking.
@@scottbyrd2157 Thank you so much, I really appreciate that!!! Hoping to be more consistent with more content now. Still new to this editing stuff 👍
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks I’m about to start mine up soon. Been recording but not familiar with editing video yet.
@@scottbyrd2157 I'm a dummy when it comes to anything techy, but starting to get the hang of it. I'm sure you'll do great 👍
🤩🤩🤩
@@ChloeLehman-ws8bx 👍😏
That looks sweet brother 💯💪
@@joshhelms8290 Thank you Josh! 🫡
I thoroughly enjoyed this. I enjoyed the ingenuity as much as any of it. Scrap wood with homemade dowels and a 25 cent yard sale find to create a thing of beauty. Great video
@@CreationDust777 Thanks so much Josh!!! I hate wasting anything, so was happy to give those scraps some new purpose 👍
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
@@sheilal.7284 Thanks, much appreciated!!!
Really cool work
@@BearandtheBossLady Thank you very much!!!🫡
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks heck yeah man no prob
Stunning job mate looks wicked. How'd you find the jig i have same one seems little off mine though. May have to try this with some different coloured scraps. Also youghart pots/tubs make great moulds for stuff like this. 👍🏴🤔
@@michaelwillson6847 Thanks Michael! 🫡 Just got the jig off Amazon. And I have talked to the kitchen staff at the local school and they are saving me plastic containers now 👍
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks yea I got my one from temu but it looks identical. Do you find it's off or is it on size for the size it's meant be?? Mine is maybe 1mm off so 10 will come out at 9 or 8.5 by time I sand it. 🤷
@@michaelwillson6847 Depends on the wood I'm using, but I've found that starting a couple sizes bigger and working down gives a smoother and more accurate result with less sanding. Hope that helps
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks thanks mate will give that a shot.
Wow! I was not expecting the turn from inside to out side. Yet another new technique for me to try soon!
@@A-Parently_Gaming Took an old method and tweaked it. Lots of possibilities with this one 👍
Man, now I need to learn to use epoxy for my lathe projects 😂 beautiful use of color!
@@A-Parently_Gaming Thank you! I was thinking about guitars when I went with the dye 😉
Hey brother, just got off Daniels live. Love the freaking project and how it turned out. Trying to look at why the videos are not doing as good as you want. Maybe The title, the sound quality, and lighting. Voice over is great, explanation is great, I didn’t skip through at all. Keep pushing!
@@christopheryacout9260 Thanks so much!!! 🫡 I'm working on getting new mics cuz I know that's a big issue. Also I need to work on thumbnails, but I'm not very techy so it's a challenge. Thanks for ur input, much appreciated!
Beautiful piece keep it up! 🎉 My favorite part of learning to use a lathe has been learning to trust the wood to show me what it wants to look like/be by the end of it.
@@A-Parently_Gaming Thanks for watching! Seems each piece has an inner beauty that isn't seen until it's uncovered 👍
Absolutely Stunning!!! That pilsner cup design is gorgeous with the angles and placement of the dowels 💥🤯 Fantastic Work Josh🤘🏼
@@katspeace5550 Thanks Kat!!! Happy little accident with the shape, Bob would be proud 😏
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks 💯😊
😂😂😂I love this❤
@@ChloeLehman-ws8bx Thanks!!! Trying to mix it up a little 😏
The first thing that caught my eye was the slant. That is awesome!!!!!
@@WedoweeHandyman Thanks Joe!🫡 That pitcher changed my original approach, but turned out better than I expected
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks accidental home runs are the best

That’s cool why put pine cones in oven? Today them out? Thanks
@@matthewjason5330 Thanks for watching!!! Yes to dry, but more importantly to release any sap or pitch that would prevent the epoxy from bonding. I go into full detail on the long form video 👍
@@Last-Breath-Woodworks ok thanks
