China’s Oldest High-Speed Rail Station: Not What I Expected
Today, I visited the oldest high-speed rail station in China: Wuhan Station.
When my friend suggested I check out China’s first high-speed rail station, I had a few thoughts: Will it look old? Worn down? Full of history? But as I approached, I was stunned. Are you telling me this is the oldest high-speed rail station? Seriously? This is nothing like what I expected!
Wuhan Station, located in Wuhan's Hongshan District, cost 14 billion RMB and began construction in 2006, opening in 2009.
Oh, and this time, I got up close on the platform to see both an ordinary high-speed train and the fastest high-speed train in China!
