CBR650R SC Project Exhaust - 2023 Model
SC Project SC-1 M 2019-2020 fitted on a 2023 model.
The exhaust comes pre-fitted with a DB killer that is not easy to remove.
I watched other owners on TH-cam drill a hole in the side of the can to access the Allen key bolt that holds he DB Killer in. There is a rubber grommet you can buy that fits in the hole however I don't yet have it, but I am sure it will look more aesthetically pleasing when I do get one!
Feel free to ask any question in the comments. And yes, the pipe sounds amazing while not being obnoxious.

Scorpion Serket Vs Stock Exhaust - 2013 Triumph Street Triple
มุมมอง 7K6 ปีที่แล้ว
While shopping for a new slip-on for my Triumph Street Triple, I struggled to find decent comparison videos for the exhausts available on the market. I finally bit-the-bullet and purchased a Scorpion Serket (Titanium). I LOVE the look, and more so love the sound I have discovered. The stock pipe sounded decent when opened, but lacked the low grumble at idle. With the DB Killer in, it sounds gre...

Can you make a video how to remove the DB killer and use it again
@@noah-luizremus7097 I’m not sure how to do that, but I don’t think you’ll want to use it ☺️
Got mine in carbon fibre on order 👌🏻
I have the same exhaust, I also removed the db killer. Then I plugged it in again, because the police where I live write tickets without a dbkiller. xD btw without dbkiller, the lower revs are very dead and the torque decreases. It is necessary to use constant rotation.
Did you remap your bike or no need for this exhaust?
No but I might in the summer just to balance her out
After taking the baffle out did you need to retune the bike
Does it need ecu tune or flash?
Not required but I might just do it to sweeten the power range
sounds great!
Can you put the db killer back in affter removal?
You can! You’d need to put in a simple bolt through the hole. And, if you wanted something in between you can drill out some of the holes until you get the perfect sound.
@@divadrolyat Thanks for the reply my friend. Did the exhaust fit right out of the box or did you have to make it fit since it was made for the 2019-2020 model?
@@realgucmanpls tell me when you know 🙈🙈🙈 I want this exhaust too for my 2023 cbr
@@realgucmanI would like too know the same. Is it direct fit or you do some modifications?
Where’d you find the exhaust at? I can’t find any mods for this bike
I ordered online
Sound's good after removing DB killer
Good video 🎉 thank you bro
I love the sound of this bike
Why don't u just install straight pipes go up on the cam done
Are those slip one still available
As you said you have tors on yours can they even be found anywhere?
You can pic the'm up ebay 150 for the pair they will be 2nd hand but the ones I've had have bee' like brand new people just change them fur aftermarket ones so they usually have little use
Great video so you gutted the cat I couldn't read it quick enough to understand watt you had done with the pipes are they stock are they and did you remap the bike to it sounds really good
I believe if you’d hold the mike further away from the bike we could really get the full exhaust notes! Thx!
Thank you for the video. I just picked up my 2017 street triple 675R and it came with Competition werkes slip on and its way too loud and my family and neighbors are hating me. How loud is this compared to something like comp werkes and orther loud slips on for 675?
Why didn't you go 2 onto 1?
thx that video helped me a lot.
Perfect video!
abel Cañizares Thanks!! If I would do it over, I’d have extended the full-throttle ride by 😎
I have the remus decat with the short tors.
$$$$$$$$$$$$
very good job !! brutal sound..
Sorry mate. I'm happy for you that you love it.
Brilliant video Dave. I've just bought an exhaust like this (hasn't got it yet) and I know already it was good choice. :) Thanks.
Tom P you’re welcome! Let me know if you went baffle in/out?
@@divadrolyat , it's been fitted and I love the sound of it without the DB killer. :) Uploaded my video if you're interested in. ;)
Tom P send me the link!

I have the same setup! I got the carbon fiber!
hey, thanks for the vid. i have hog slayers and thinking of decatting. the conduit pipes...what diameter are they? What do you mean when you say cut them in half? you trimmed a bit from each end? Also, for mounting purposes, you used existing brackets? thx!
Yassssss
Just cant make my mind up..Carrying an Arrow at the moment but,SC?, Werkes? 2Brothers or a Scorpion...Im doin my nut deciding 🤜😳🤛 ..Gr8 vid mate, much appreciated. Btw, what song is that!?? Tis killa!
Justin Morgan the song is a generic TH-cam song to avoid copyright 😏. What exhaust did you end up with?
hi justin, same prob mate sc,gpr or coffman drives you bloody mad deciding, scorpion are u.k. so that will help.
Great vid. Exactly what i was looking for. It will be my next purchase
Good Times super glad I could help 🤗
Got the scorpion titanium can for my 13' Street Triple S and it looks so much better, saves quite a bit of weight and sounds beautiful. Threw my savings into a whole new K-Tech suspension upgrade cause the Standard Suspension isn't quite set up for huskies..lol. Can Wait to rip it up this summer!
Steven Fortier rip the summer up!! 😎
I like triumphs but dealers are too scarce for my taste...
U gotta remap it
I like rineharts on my road king.
With hd take out the cat and the warranty is up.
Sounds great brother.
Big Red thanks!
Yeah I like your end results it's just perfect for me
Have you made the adjustments yourself?
I don't see the TORs pipes in any part of this vid. My TORS pipes end at the rear axle, much shorter than the stock pipes. The sound of the TORS with the cat left alone is great,
Maxx hi Max. Triumph make both a short AND long TOR pipe. I opted for the long TORs as I had saddlebags.
Maxx you’re welcome to leave your CAT as is. Some riders wanted a bit more oomph, hence why I shared this video 😊
@@divadrolyat I had to check with my dealer on this one before I posted back, there is NO long TORS pipe. The shorty or TORS ( short for torque pipe ) is indeed the short version. Anyway it doesn't really matter, there great bikes. I only changed to the shorty because I didn't like the looks of the very long stock pipe. Although the extra power was nice too, also changed to the performance Triumph air filter had a performance tune done with the remap by my dealer. Have also changed to many custom parts including some from the Night Storm.
Maxx - Triumph made both a long AND a short TOR (which actually stands for “Triumph Off Road” as they do not meet the government standards for approved decibel range). I purchased my set of long TOR pipes from my Triumph dealer here in Canada. Still have the receipt and part number if you truly care. Below is a link to fellow Storm riders discussing the pros and cons of buying the long vs short TOR pipes. Perhaps your dealership is not that switched on. I did the pipe swap, and can assure you the stock and long TOR are exactly the same length, but are clearly designed differently inside. Like I said, I could probably get part number if you’re dedicated to this cause... www.triumphrat.net/thunderbird-twin-technical-talk/212530-tors-long-short-or.html
Hey man, I just pulled the ends off my pipes completely, shes a loud girl now, but eventually I'm gonna have to put some new pipes back on it. Can you recommend any slip on kits thatll work? I'm having a time trying to find some online that would fit and work
Dylan Reed 👋 I have no idea what slipons are available other than OEM. , I owned the Triumph aftermarket slipons.
I'm in the same boat as you I just bought a 2010 and only thing I don't like is the sound or should I say lack off I already have cat deletes not stock pipes just not cutting it.did you find anything out
Forgot to ask you, did you notice any performance difference between having the DB Killer in or DB Killer out? Some articles I have read state taking out the DB Killer changes the back pressure. Please let me know.
Grant Productions I didn’t use the bike without a DB Killer for more than 10 minutes, so I can’t really say 😊
Grant, I have the same year bike/ engine and yes definitely can feel the difference with it out mostly in the top end hauling ass up the canyons.
Best comparison to date... thanks for taking the time to do an in-depth analysis. My Serket should come tomorrow. I will leave the DB killer in. I'm getting to old to have extremely loud pipes. Just want enough sound for cars not to cut me off on the freeway or pull out in front of me on a two lane county road.
Grant Productions Thank you kindly! I couldn’t find a decent video myself, so I made one 😊 Hope it helps solidify your purchase, I’ve been SOOO happy with my exhaust 😊
thanks
Very nice sound
Isn't your belt drive on the wrong side? All the Thunderbirds I've seen has the belt drive on the right side what gives? I really like my Thunderbird it's a nice riding bike but there is nothing in this world that will ever make it sound good.
40mmrrsmith Hmmmm, not sure what angle you’re looking at, the belt is definitely on the right side. As for the sound, if I️ could do it all over, I’d leave the CAT as is but I’d remove the baffle from the TOR pipes. I’m pretty sure you’d get the sound you’re looking for. The key thing to have is a crossover between the pipes. The straight bends (CAT removed) doesn’t sound the best IMO. Installing a crossover like the “Meercat” helps balance out the pipe sounds...
divadrolyat maybe it's in the editing but when you back the bike out the belt is definitely on the left in the video. I just recently saw a video of a rocket 3 with exhaust on the wrong side so it must be giving reversed in editing or something. You bike sounds great compared to oem. I love my rocket 3 and really like my Thunderbird. My opinion is you can improve the sound of a Triumph but it will never sound good. I removed the front crossover from the headers(not by choice) and everything else is stock. It sounds a lot better on throttle, idle is unchanged. There is no decel popping to speak of, just a little poof poof under hard engine braking. I may try gutting the cat if I can find someone that can cut and weld it properly. I'm after a deeper rumble but not more noise.
I see what your saying as the belt appears to be on the right on the first part of the vid then latter seems to be on the left, weird. Oh, and this vid shows the stock Triumph pipes not the much shorter TORS pipes.
@@tms372 As David has already stated those are TORS pipes. There is 2 different versions SHORT TORS and LONG TORS ( i own a set of both ) ... And yes TOR stands for "Triumph Off Road" not Torque Pipe. Whatever "dealer" you talked to have no idea what they are talking about...you should probably go somewhere else !
Mabe what sounds good for you is a vtwin . For me it sounds lushious.
I've since COMPLETELY gutted the CAT and am happier with the sound.
Hi, do I need to remap if I gut and debaffle the cat, with stock pipes, cheers
divadrolyat just bought a triumph storm. Any way I can email you I have a few questions?
I subbed to you
out of all of the cars from last year the p1's were my favorite !
so funny
Cute :-)
