Thunder from positive lightning - Bedford, UK (21st September 2024)
My previous upload featured clips of the same afternoon thunderstorm taken with my iPhone and Canon cameras at 60fps. This upload is all the footage I caught from my Blackmagic camera at 25fps and my Zoom H1n field recorder. Annoyingly, the only +CG strike I caught with this camera was at the start of the video. I'm unsure what their peak currents were but I know the most powerful I caught was +73kA towards the end.

I think it's fair to say that it's very likely a tornado and not a funnel cloud. That amount of meso rotation seems too strong and I think a tornado was confirmed in or near Luton, Great capture.
Is a tornado not comprised of a funnel cloud?
@@ZacAttackk Kind of, but it's referred to as a funnel cloud if it does not make contact with the ground and a tornado once it touches down.

@@ZakM1Did you see it touch the ground? If you did than it's classified as an actual tornado, if not it's just a funnel cloud.
@@KJames2345tornadoes can appear to not be touching the ground yet still be doing damage to it as if they were. There's clips of dirt rotating on ground while the visible funnel is higher up in the air, still classed as a tornado.

Amazing capture. I was passing through the area by train at the time and the cloud bases were incredibly dark and low.

Not a mini tornado it is a proper tornado just a smaller version of those you see in u.s.a that being said I think it would probably be rated as ef1 or 2 you don't often see meseocyclonic rotation in our thunderstorms because our storms rarely get big enough but when they do you will soon stop this crap talk of mini there is no mini it's either a small tornado or big tornado get your facts straight
@@GarethCoombesTornadic storm will increase across the UK, A tornado hit Guernsey earlier this year which was rated F2. And a F1 hit Stoke in February.
These are not called mini tornadoes just because they happen in the uk. They are just tornadoes they can be very deadly and kill lots of people if they hit the wrong areas.

These storms ravaged across the Midlands and due to Lightning strikes at some level crossings in Derbyshire it caused major disruption with the trains. I was stranded in Birmingham for hours due to train cancellations. We got RRP buses to Sheffield and throughout the night on the way home the sky lit up 10's of times followed by torrential rain.

To be honest, it just felt like a typical winter windstorm with warmth and thunder added 😂
Dangerous stuff. They're typically staccato in nature and so tough to capture at the best of times so don't worry, that's still some good bolts.
0:32 02cm is a lot of work for a beginner but I think it would be a good idea to get a good grip lasting for a few minutes and then just keep it in the fridge for a few hours before you start to get a little bit of a bit of a break 03cm is a good idea for a beginner to get a good start on the right side of the fridge and then you can get a good idea of how much you need to be able to get to the bottom of the fridge to get it to work and then you can get the right side of the freezer and bridge it bridge and then you can get the bottom of the freezer to the fridge for fridge to keep the fridge to the fridge and then you can get a little fridge the fridge and fridge freezer and then you can get some of the freezer fridge freezer fridge freezer and freezer and fridge and freezer fridge and fridge freezers freezer fridge freezer cooler fridge freezers fridge freezers and freezer fridge freezer stuff fridge freezers and fridge freezer freezers fridge 1:11
