I always thought it was interesting in this scene he is using Limitless to not step on ants. To most people ants arent that significant to our lives to step over or ignore. Most would step over them and move on with their day. Before I read the manga, I assumed Gojo had a a God complex since he was the strongest. Surprisingly this one scene shows his character. All that power, yet he chose to let them live. He really is one of the best characters.

Gojo had every right to hate them. Why? First, when Riko died and said Tengen didn’t need Riko, it must’ve hurt him badly, thinking the religious zealot ordered Toji to kill Riko for nothing. Then, they divided the 3(Gojo and team) into separate missions, making no therapy to help Geto’s mind. Haibara’s death due to higher ups putting him in an unfair dangerous mission. They also sent Geto to investigate something that THEY deemed guilty against two girls, creating Geto evil. Higher ups didn’t care to investigate on Yuta at first and thinks him a execution with no second thought. They also sent the Zenin clan’s worst person after Yuuji, and we all know how bad the Zenin clan is after the way they treat Toji and Maki. They think killing Yuuji will stop Sukuna when in fact, Sukuna could come many ways, considering he’s not afraid to die when Yuuji does. Put all those fact combined, Gojo wanted to change the Jujutsu system and not have his pain again with the higher up’s bs.
