Glad you finally uploaded this, I'm the volunteer you met on the M1s at the museum, and the one doing the horns heard in this lol! It's indeed an incredible layout! Thanks for coming out to Riverhead, it's honestly quite an underrated urbanist gem with its walkable core, the TOD they're building, bikeshare, great riverwalk, the station/bus hub, the railroad museum, the performing arts theater, and of course the aquarium!

A minor nitpick: Technically speaking, the LIRR no longer does freight traffic. That is done by the New York and Atlantic, established in 1997, which uses the LIRR tracks. They have one caboose, but I have never seen it in operation on the Main Line by the Yaphank station which is where I work. The best part of the museum is that it is massively interactive, a lot of the sets can be activated from buttons on the paneling, and includes a lot of interesting action scenes, some of which you did show in the video.

This bus was on display at the 1998 NJT Try Transit festival.

00:31 - This one has old strobe beacons. The bus that replaced this (also numbered 190) had the FS lightbars and other better lights 02:46 - I would assume this is for the reverse camera mounted high on the rear

My Version had the one headlight on the top and we use cab signals not speed control but everything else is the same
