I'm a denim & blouse girl, usually floral, to the point that floral blouses are called a "Jessica shirt" in one friend group. I'm stepping into my chambray era now and you'll never see me wearing black. In my early years, I felt the need to dress the part in promoting my business, not for lack of confidence in my service, but like Stacey said, to elicit their confidence in me. I felt like I needed portray who they were expecting to see in the role. My personality wasn't even a consideration. I love that Melia spoke about capsule wardrobes. I had one for years and it was 100% the best thing I did to simplify my life at a time when things felt really nuts and I had zero extra energy to try to build an outfit every day from an excessive number of options. As an organizer, I'm happy to hear that Michelle seems to have moved some of her clothing collections, that she's not really wearing anymore, out of her main closet. It's a great way to keep what you love without it getting in the way of the function of your daily wardrobe. When people have overcrowded spaces, I always say you can keep ANYTHING you want… But you can't keep everything. There's usually some way to get creative about storage or find something else to let go of to make space for collections and memorabilia. What a fun episode! Looking forward to the next :)
