I’m inclined to think there’s a bit of a supernatural element in Fargo (not including the UFO in season 2 obviously) There’s a point in this scene where you hear one gangster’s gun jam which makes me think that Malvo is some kind of demon with an aura which protects him but only against people who have committed some kind of evil act. It would explain why he encourages people to act on their worst impulses, gets everyone’s hands dirty and removes the magic protection Remember Gus’ neighbour calls him a demon to his face Plus in season 3, Yuri dies after meeting that guy (I forget his name) who brings up his family’s history It’s not a big aspect but it’s subtle

Might be the best film ever made.
