Did NOT work for me. The problem I am having, as are others is that the error message WON'T dismiss, thereby effectively locking the phone. With my iphone 11, if I try to reboot, it triggers an emergency call. WTF!

Wouldn’t it be easier to just buy an Apple certified product? The earbud adapter is only a dollar fifty more from Apple. I’m definitely not jamming anything into the lightning port or taking my phone apart.
