I remember. My irish and scottish ancesters have worn kilts at dances. I have miss seeing kilt wearers by dancing with smiles on their faces and with pride too.

You don't wear a wig while you practice and I know that because I'm an irish dancer my self you only wear a wig when you go to a competition

Because only the ones that dance solo are the world champions, the others are the top 5 of each competition. So they highlighted the world champions by letting them dance alone, and the rest danced 2x2

I think it is 2nd and 3rd from the same age group and then 4th and 5th from the same age group that dance!! I only think that because Roisin Naughton dances in the 2nd set of 2 and she came 2nd to Brogan!!

it's because the ones that dance by themselves are the world champions, and the others are the top five in the same age group at least, i'm 99% sure that's why, because the first two are wearing the world champion sash, which is a darker blue, and the others are all wearing the the lighter blue sash, which is the colour the top five got that year

The first two dance solo because they won their worlds! the others danced together because the placed the same in different age groups .. so the 2nd places danced together and so on :)
