    I managed to install the M5 launcher, I fixed the rotation and the SD card problem, but the Fancy-UI will not load. I built the firmware from the repo as your instructions were showing. The firmware downloaded fine 2.5MB in size, but when I upload it to the T-deck the same firmware file size shows as 1.7MB and it will not install or load. Anyone has this problem ?

    Hi, I got it right that cardputer doesn't use the external lora module, but connects to the meshtastic terminal via wi-fi and transmits messages through it? Is it possible to use m5stack's lora external module for this task?

    • @TechAirSpace
      @TechAirSpace 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes the cardputer connects to a MQTT server via WiFi. You can easily set one up for yourself or use the official Meshtastic MQTT server. You'll have two IP addresses in config file (private and public). There is a button that you can use to switch from your own MQTT server to public server. M5Stack LoRa module looked a bit bulky to be used with Cardputer so I didn't explore that yet.

    • @TechAirSpace
      @TechAirSpace 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      1) The Device UI/Fancy UI is still in development so you might run into the occasional crash. Just a heads up: since it's unreleased do not send any support requests to Meshtastic devs. 2) Without BLE or WiFi, it’s optimized for longer battery life. 3) I highly recommend using an SD card along with the Launcher. This way you can easily switch between multiple firmware versions. Check out my other video for more on that!

    • @SecuritySpecial
      @SecuritySpecial 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      On the M5 Stick, Nemo is superb : easy to use but quite basic. The Cardputer is a far better device to make use of Bruce's versatile range of hacking functions!

      @TechAirSpace 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are at least Meshtastic, IRC firmware, Windows 3.0, Ripple Radio, Chatterbox and Lora Messenger. I have tried Doom on LILYGO T-Watch S3 but not on T-Deck. I might need to see if that can be done :D

    • @TechAirSpace
      @TechAirSpace 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I might do a video about it later. The side port is a serial port (grove). Mainly used for adding GPS to the device but it can also be used for other stuff. I'm not sure if T-Deck Plus is worth it currently if you don't actively use Meshtastic. For that it's pretty nice. But I do see new T-Deck projects popping up now that the T-Deck Plus is out.
