@KatSun3i Thanks! I’ve had success with a few strategies. The main thing with the later golems is they’ll have defense mechanisms, like covering their bodies in lightning or fire, to keep you from just hanging on for dear life, indefinitely.

@@horrorfinder They’re the boss enemies in the Crystal Hunt campaign mode. Complete three Outposts, collect the map pages in the chest at the end and you’ll unlock access to a Dalgarian Ruin. It’s like one long Outpost that ends with one of these fights. Beat the golem and you can unlock a new branch of your skill tree. It’s a pretty fun loop.

@@waronhumans8213 It’s funny how that happens. You should check out the $30 a month deal they’ve got going at Meta.com, if it sounds like your thing. A few of my friends have taken advantage of it. You pay $30 a month for two years, get the headset and two years of Quest+. With Quest+ you’ll have access to about 15-20 rotating games each month and you’ll be gifted two games every month to keep forever, even if you cancel. Winds up being an extra $20 by the end of the deal, if you had just bought the headset and paid two years into the subscription, but it beats dropping $500 at once that you could put towards games!

Winds up being 49 free games for the $30 a month, by the end of those two years. (Batman comes with current Quest 3!)

Yeah, it went from friendly exhibition to death match pretty damn quick. 😂

The hits are so satisfying in this game. Especially that little half second pause/slow mo when you stun someone.

@NeverNader I feel ya! I got it for free this month, through Quest+ if you’re on Quest. I think it’s $7.99 a month, but they might have some trials. You’ll get two games to keep each month you’re subscribed and about twenty or so that rotate in and out like GamePass.

@@DefValue Me too! The animations can look a little silly, but I just can’t get over the level of control in your strikes. And the pressure point mechanic adds a whole layer of strategy that I love. Feels like a legit fighting game, sometimes.

@kevinthemurphy yeah no problem! If you have the quest 3 or 3s, they have a mixed reality mode where you can fight em in your own room, its super fun!

@ Oh, cool. Yeah, I’m on the Quest 3 at the moment. I’ve tried the Mixed Reality mode for The Thrill of the Fight recently and I saw that Dragonfist: VR Kung Fu has the option as well.

@@BillyBeanCan Yeah, that would be great. Only a couple of my friends have headsets yet, so I haven’t done any of the multiplayer games so far.

@@HeyLookItsThatGuy13 I really love the controls and the combat. Plus the progression is addictive in the Crystal Hunt campaign mode. Constantly running through dungeons to learn new skills. I’ve just recently learned lightning and fire magic and they have totally different play styles. Game is amazing.

@ They also have a pretty generous refund policy. Anything you play less than two hours of is eligible for a full refund and it’s painless. I used that to try out a bunch of drumming games before I found one that clicked for me!

@ No problem! Yeah, I think it’s two hours of gameplay or two weeks after purchase, so you’ve got time to really sink into the game before deciding if it’s for you.

@@MrRunItUp It’s my favorite VR game of the moment. So many play styles and the skill trees are all very different and rewarding.

@ Thanks! I’ve actually been posting a few videos of the Star Wars mod for this game, too. The spells really feel like Jedi/Sith moves.

@ I just started the Dragon Fist: Kung Fu game that’s free this month on Quest+ and I’m really impressed with it. It’s physics based combat like Blade and Sorcery, but only hand to hand, and you have to learn stances and special moves, like a VR Mortal Kombat. I’ll be uploading more videos of that one soon!

I actually just uploaded the next short from this fight, where I tried out the katana mod. They do a much better job of piercing the TVA armor.

@mikkelvestergaard8475 Thanks, man! I’m just on Quest standalone at the moment. I’ve been focusing on the main Crystal Hunt campaign mode so far, but I just started experimenting more with mods and created a Sand Box character to play around with.

@@Bread3crumbsHaha! I did have pretty intense nausea my first two days of VR, but after that my brain figured out the disconnect between thinking you’re moving and not actually moving.

@kevinthemurphy ya it's because when my head gos in a circle or I'm flying in a ship or plane my head would physically hurt.

@@driver_gagash You can, but with limitations. Each “memory” only contains a portion of the original levels, so you’ll eventually hit invisible walls when you go far enough. I think it’s a limitation of standalone VR, right now. To render larger areas with this kind of fidelity, they would probably need a powerful PC running it.

@@hawionyangootieno1736 It’s a skill called Boomerang. You’ll have to combine two “Body” crystals to unlock the second tier of skills for that tree. It’ll work with non-rounded shields, but they don’t bounce back as reliably, so I’ve been sticking with the Watchman shield so far.

@ yea but when you go to search it up just put beam in the search bar because if you search up beam sabers it won’t show up

@@bapv2fr It’s one of the skills you can choose to unlock in the campaign mode. No mods in this playthrough. It will impact, then ricochet in the opposite direction, impact again and then fly back to your hand as long as there are no obstacles in the way.

@ You can also create a character in the “sandbox” mode which will let you max out all the skill trees for free and just play around with battles however you want. I just found the progression in the Crystal Hunt campaign to be fun and a good way to gradually learn skills and how to use each weapon type so you’re not too overwhelmed by all the options.
