They are switches, not keys - and that's the crucial difference between the two types of instruments. There are plenty of great videos out there, by real people who actually know what they are talking about and can steer you in the right direction, based on what you want or need. Don't waste your time with this nonsense. It could end up costing you time, money and frustration.

My thoughts are why carry a fixed blade when a folder of this size 3-4" can do pretty much the same duties and be more easily carried. There are plenty of robust folders like the Cold Steel Recon ( Spear point) in S35VN, or any of the larger Spyderco Paramilitary series. Even an old school Buck 110. I am very fond of the Nickle Silver Drop Point, its very sexy! Most of the activities you show/list would be done with larger bladed knives. I was taught use the right tool for the job. A knife in the pack, one on the hip and a folder in the front pocket should be more then adequate.

All very well carrying horizontally at the back. Looks cool until you go to re sheath your knife, and you cut your fingers and your belt. Also, if you slip and land on your back, you are more likely to injure your back. I say this with practical experience. Just like carrying a hand gun spare mags or torch there.
