Thanx a lot for this tip! Repairing my raw500 from a crash, so i can swap it right away. Makes sense to put the tensioner on the slack side of the belt.
Sorry you had a crash, but hopefully this will help out.
It's interesting to know what the change is by moving the tensioner to the other side, but it would also be interesting to know why it makes a difference.

@@gregjackson2486 That's interesting, so without ever having seen one of those tensioners myself, it must be a spring loaded tensioner which allows the belt to go slack when there is a on the Belt since the tensioner is on the wrong side. By putting the tensioner on the other side where are the belt is unloaded, it never compresses to create Slack.
Thanks for this, it’s been a bit of an issue and it seems like it was low key getting ignored. Hopefully this fix helps.

Hi. Sorry for the delay. Yes, these are really easy to install after the build is complete. I did it both ways: installed on a pre-built model and also while building a new kit. Fast either way!

Hi Greg, I have a 420 and it has the same little wiggle in the washout arms that you pointed out. I have ordered the washer shims and am hoping you will make that video of the shim install soonish. I still fly my 420 but think it's wise to install those so hoping you can find the time to make that video. Great content too by the way keep up the good work.

Thanks for posting. I wonder... has anyone ever experimented with driver/washout arms _with_ DFC links? Seems it would be doubly ridgid, and still functional.
