Very nice and informative
Thank you! :)
Great information, thank you, but it is very difficult to get Alishan's train tickets from Chiayi
I had to buy the ticket online as soon as the slot is open for purchasing. It's very popular! Thanks for watching :)
Hi! maybe I’m dumb but why did you store your luggage if you had a hotel in alishan? 😅
@@arinzilberstein8921 No worries, it's a good question. That's because I plan to go Fenqihu for the train bento and the roads here are uneven with steep slopes and not suitable for luggage. At Alishan park, the road is also not rolling luggage friendly. The journey itself is also more comfortable if you only had a small backpack. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the sharp video again! What are you using? The Pocket 3? Nice if you can share on your channel how you film and your settings.
Hi, this was filmed using DJI Action 3. With the right settings, even an older camera can look decent. You can check out my settings in the DJI Action 5 review video. I used the same settings for FPS, Shutter speed, ISO, and Sharpness.
@ Thank you Delson, I will check you other video. Keep the good work up! I am looking forward to go back to SEA and I am using your videos and trips as source of information and inspiration.
You went for the cheapest hotel and said you cant have high expectations 🤣
@@-zn6du we should always manage our expectations. But it was actually not a bad hotel for one night. The owners are friendly too!
In which month was this?
This was in May. Thanks for watching!
honestly as a 16 year old that does this as a hobby ive tagged with some pro teams and even relaxing group rides. most dont seem to care and some are even curious about me or why i cycle.
Thank you for the videos, i especially like the time stamp to gauge the traveling time.
@@evelawOw as a person who's always planning my own itinerary from scratch, I find traveling time and the stay duration being the top of my concerns. Hence, I have included the time stamp to allow fellow travelers to gauge their pace. But I have to say, my walking and exploring pace is a bit on the fast side 😜
very informative😊 may i know the rate for the luggage storage in Chayi?
If I remember correctly, it's about 30 NTD for small luggage. It's not that expensive compared to the unmanned lockers. You can also store your luggage at Alishan, but the lockers are limited.
So glad someone I follow and subscribe too is reviewing this great miniature camera, can’t wait to get mine Delson ❤✌️
Thank you so much for subscribing and watching my video! I will try to review all things related to traveling in future (if my wallet allows) 😸
@@delsonchong I’ve just done Ho chi min and Nhatrang for two months, now lived in manila in several different places over 3 months and it’s time to head down to mindanao island, I might buy a high top Mercedes’ or ford van to convert into a modern camper and just spend the nxt two years driving every coastline in and on the main 5-6 large islands of the Philippines mate, recently sold my house in airlie beach north Australia so I could slow travel until I run outta money in 15-20 years haha, I fly to general santos Friday, so looking forward to beach time snorkeling etc, I’ll keep in touch in your comments, chow Delson, thanks for the great content 👍🏼✌🏼
great vlog ❤ theres not much info online about chiayi and alishan online, i heard that there is a train that goes direct from Alishan to Chiayi now?
The train only goes to FenQiHu from what I know. You have to take a bus to continue up to Alishan. Alternatively, you can also take a direct bus to Alishan. But I suggest stopping at FenqiHu.Thanks for watching!
Hello! May I ask how and where did you get your train ticket to FenQiHu? Booked online? Thank you!
@@RamenAnytime yes, from their official website. Do note there is a booking timing, you can find out the operating time from the website.
@@delsonchong hi, I tried to book within their operating time, which I believe in 14 days, but it is full already. Any tips on booking the train. Also, I think the train run directly to Alishan since July 2024
@@jackieyuen3600 Book it at 12am as soon as it's opened for booking.
Welcome to Batam. Several culinary recommendation : 1. Sate Kendal 2. Empat Rasa Lamian & Dimsum 3. Aroma Signature 4. Angkringan Tepi Danau 5. Morning Bakery 6. Mama Linda Cafe If you are looking for Coffee, go for : 1. Fore at Pollux Habibie Mall 2. Tomoro at BCS or Bengkong 3. Kopi Kenangan Well at least these are my favorite. 😂😂
Thank you for the recommendations!
How much tickets grandworld, winvonder and cable car?
For the cable car to Hon Thom island, the ticket also includes the Sun World Park admission. It cost about $23 USD. For VinWonders, it cost $41 USD. For Grand World, it cost $9 USD. You can buy all the tickets on Klook. Thanks for watching!
was dirty latte a real name? that sounds kinda weird
It's just milk with espresso poured over to create a messy look. Imagine Cappuccino with a just wake up look.
I believe it is good manners to ask if tagging along is OK as others and yourself are not familiar with each other's riding habit so it can pose a danger to yourself and others.
Dont you try to TALK to any of them?
Didn't have the chance to, they are all too fast 🤣
Nous y etions fin decembre..super le beau temps etait vraiment de la partie..Tout est facile a visiter avec un scooter..Juste dommage qu il y ai pas assez de plage public tout 😢faut passer par les resorts pour allez a la plage
It's the same situation in many beach town in Vietnam. The high-end resorts have claimed the beaches, making it their private beach.
Hi I am planning to take same flight to Osaka from SIN. Do I need to collect back my luggage and check in again at KUL? Upon arrival at KUL do I need to pass through Malaysia immigration? How was your overall experience transit at KUL? Enough time for transit or too rush? Tks for sharing this video!
I didn't check in my luggage for this connecting flight, but the MAS crew told me that they will transfer all the luggage to the next flight. You don't have to pass through the Malaysia immigration, just stay inside and go to the gate for the next flight to Osaka. The time was sufficient for the transfer, but MAS changed the gate last minute and everyone had to rush to the other end of the airport for the new gate. The plane will not fly when everyone is still rushing to the new gate, so no worries. Enjoy your trip!
👍
I do cycling on the road as a mountain biker.but i used to pick time when there is almost no traffic
hey thanks for the video, can i get the google maps link for the No english name yakitori place? :D
Google has translated the name for us! It's "Third generation Tori mero Nara Sanjo street store / 三代目鳥" near the Nara Station. Thanks for watching my video and I'm glad that my experience helps in your planning!
@@delsonchong thanks for replying! yes surely :D looking forward to more travel vlogs in future
Welcome to Taiwan 🎉
I love Taiwan!!
i can relate to you HAHA
Thanks for watching!
I love the video. Myself I do not dare to ride my bike on the roads, I prefer park connectors as the infrastructure and the driving culture is not really bicycle friendly in Singapore. But in group it must be safer!
It's safer and the experience is better to ride in a group. Try it one day!
HI nice video. Question on the part 1:17, is it cruising speed 35-38kph? or 35-38kph Average Speed?
It should be the average speed. I vaguely remember my speedometer showing at least 38kmph along this short stretch. Strava calculates the average speed for the entire stretch, including the distance before and after the dam road section. Thanks for watching!
@@delsonchong Thanks for the feedback. Do you mind I add you in Strava?
There's some personal details there, maybe next time if I decided to post more cycling related videos. 🙏
@@delsonchong No worries. all good. You have a great ride.
be careful if u tag with angmo riders, some of them are very grumpy.
Luckily, those riders who I met are welcoming. I always thank them for allowing me to tag onto when we parted ways 😊
Not really tbh I find them more friendly. What they don't like I find is if they pull and you dont
@@jeremyemilio9378 hahaha nobody likes to pull all the time
Ang mohs got 2 types. One is fugged up type and the other is super fiiendly and greets you good morning type.
@@2100BLF usually the older ones are more friendly. it's the younger Jonas wannabes that are asshats
Please edit your video to not show riding groups with more than 10 riders. You know how car centric FB group like to use such videos to bash cyclists.
Thanks for the suggestion! I will take note of it next time.
i want go to sg and do the round the island route :( what good place to stay? i mean the one not far away from the route. The road looks intimdating and complicated for me
Hi, you can consider staying in the central area like Chinatown, Geylang, or the Eastern side of Singapore. You will do the round island in a counter clockwise direction. This is much preferred as you will find more rest stops towards the end of your ride and probably more cyclists to draft. Thanks for your comment!
I oso no friends, where can I find a cycling community 🥲
There are a few cycling communities open to new members. You can check out MBG or KCC.
i also have no one to ride with😔
Just go out on a weekend morning and you can find many friends to cycle with~
where u usually ride at
I usually do the Eastern loop, including TMCR and back using the same route. I find the Eastern side of Singapore nicer to ride on hah. When with friends, we'd do half or full island.
where u live i live so far away💀
Hi! I'm going to Osaka this May 2024, and I noticed wearing t-shirt on the day is okay right. But, fyi now Osaka Amazing Pass is kinda discontinue, so the alternative now is Osaka e-Pass (not include free metro and buses🥲)
Being from europe this place doesn't attract me at all if i go to Vietnam :)
It's kind of overtourism, just like Sapa, but it's still worth visiting at least once for its nature and weather. Thanks for watching!
Awesome. Looks like a great day. 👍
Thank you! :)
What a cool video. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind comment! 😸
How hot was it in may? Like 30+ or
I never wore the Uniqlo light jacket I brought. Since it's going to be hotter this year, I would just bring summer clothes with a light outer shirt if I'm going again.
@@delsonchong thanks! I'm debating going on my own! Scared of solo travel but gonna be cool I hope
Japan is very safe and solo friendly. Just approach the subway station master if you are lost, they will provide you with the clearest instructions you'll ever receive 😂. Enjoy!
How was the weather in May?
It was hot during the day! 😔
Am I right that you flew in on 20th of May as shown in your train ticket? I'll also be flying in the 3rd week this year. I'd like to have an idea of the weather so I can plan what to bring in my luggage.
Yes, I flew on 20 May last year. The weather was cooling in the early morning and at night, but it was so hot during the day. I brought a light jacket but never have to use it. Thanks for watching!
Was this trip in the beginning of May?
Hi, the trip was from mid May to the end of May. Thank you for watching! :)
