Are you talking about the military gates I go through at each drop? I run all military freight and go through the gates every time....I Did go through a large xray machine or maybe it was a radio active materials detector when I went to Dover AFB on my last trip....was kinda cool though!

I like off ramps on ramps. Darker. Can anchor my grounding mat to soil. Easier in out. Not between 2 idling trucks. Next step in my life; switch from bigrig to f350 hotshot !

Idling trucks are okay...its the reefers that kill me....there needs to be parking just for reefers then parking for everyone else somewhere different...lol

Not any different than laying in the bed of my truck...or exposed to the elements when you actually use them to hold down tarps and loose ends of chains?

Norfolk wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...Washington DC the other day was absolutely horrible!

My wife says a soon as we get everything paid off I'll be able to quit....dont know that I'll ever stop...its easy and there is not a physical aspect that might limit me in the future....I may slow down even more....but I don't think I'll ever quit

What about retirement.

@thomaswilson8634 that's a work in progress...most of my big stuff is paid for at this point...mortgage free feels amazing! Retirement is is always in the back of my mind!

@Bellestartransport now i have a union pension. I retired in 2010 but Obama fucked me on insurance so (it quadrupled) i went back to driving. I never believed in truck payments and my pension covered my bills. I invested every dime i could and I ran the roads. But being with a exceptional company was the key 150 to 175 o/o . I made a killing running pepsi, knauf, sealed air , out of indy. I only ran the short game. Only. It's where the money is. But I'm retired now and more busy than ever. Lol. Me an the wife are leaving as we speak on a 30 day camping trip. Last one before winter

@@thomaswilson8634 we will be taking a one week trip to the Florida keys in about three weeks...gotta get me a big fat long run before we go....gonna sit on the beach and drink frosty adult beverages all week long!

@@Bellestartransport sweeping is an understatement where I live haha.

Backhauls are the only place I'm losing out on...by the time you figure in the deadhead to get it picked up...and the miles to get back home after a backhaul drop...most of the time I'm better off just getting back home to reload at Tinker gor another long run. I load on Wednesdays at Tinker most of the time...I need to get back home to get a reset done before Wednesdays....I cant make 1000 bucks to miss out on a possible 6....7...or 8 thousand dollar run the following week. Most of my runs are between 6 and 8k...for about a week and a half...im good with that! 6k a week is 300k for the year...most people wish they can make that kind of money....its a balance between road time and home time for me.

Ram 3500...25+5 on the trailer...registered 26k. The payload i can haul is 8k. Be careful on your length with a 40ft trailer....cant go over 65 feet in total length...most DOT guys won't jack with you...but there is always that one guy!

Nothing less than a 3/4 ton diesel truck...1 ton diesel truck gives better stability pulling a goosneck...just make sure your registered weight on your truck is 26k or less for non cdl...and the combined gvw does not exceed that limit....cdl is a whole different thing if you are going that route. Definately Ram or Ford...Ram is my preference for the Cummins engine!

@dukedizzy getting 10mpg so far on this load....but will spike after I get the big crate off tomorrow morning! Then I'll jump to 12 to 14 without breaking a sweat...14 to 16 if I get a tail wind!

I've done 34 in hotels before...sometimes it's not an option. But I love to make money...not spend it...lol. I run 7/70 on my eld....I thought about running recaps and decided not to....some times I have long distances between stops I I think 7/70 works the best for me.

Parking wasn't the issue...it was the amount of drive time I had left on my clock....but everything worked out...usually does! Thanks for watching the video!
