Adobe Photoshop is very expensive with a monthly fee, so I bought Photoshop Elements. I can do almost everything that I did before with Photoshop. I wanted to use it now for creating a template and found out that PS Elements does not support paths.😞 But... 🙂 I re-discovered the open source and fully free Gimp. It has everything I need (and more). Very easy to create and edit paths and give them a stroke of any size. Of course all in as many layers as you want. I just started with it but until now it looks like the best tool for making templates, for free!

Earlier this month I finished my first piece. I definitely noticed some things I did wrong and learned from the experience. I'm glad I watched this. Even though I understand the process generally because you had some good tips, particularly in the copper foiling process. I made something based on the Bob-omb as I also appreciate Nintendo. This is a great tutorial and thank you for producing it.

How do you solder the edges? I get the drop of tin on the side and it doesn't make a nice solder joint like you do.
