We had a boat for a few weeks around the Keppel Islands. They are off the coast of Yeppoon and are absolute magic. Secluded Island, amazing reef, incredible beaches and fascinating wildlife. What more could you want out of a location to explore with a boat.

Stanage Bay - Not just a fisherman's paradise!

One of the lesser know spots on the Capricorn Coast is the tiny little fishing village called Stanage Bay. Its about 2-3 hrs north of Rockhampton along a dusty and slightly corrugated road. If you feel like venturing back into the 80's then this is the place to visit. The town basically revolves around fishing and the local pub/general store. Heron Island and the Gladstone Region

The region of Gladstone is most well known for the incredible island called Heron. This was called by David Attenborough as one of his favourite places and we can definitely understand why. It's not all this region has to offer. It also has incredible places to visit such as Agnes Waters, 1770 and Tanumm Sands. Here is a little video of our time spent in this region.

This incredible places has completely stolen our hearts as a family. We spent over a month here exploring as much of it as we could. The marine life, incredible sparkling blue water and the soft white sand was just breathtaking. We are already dreaming about going back again one day.

This is what Beach Camping is all about. This is at Ningaloo Station (South Lefroy) which has some of the best Snorkelling we have seen. Amazing coral cover and incredible marine life.

How is this van holding up after this time?
@@jarrydstokes485 we did 4.5yrs in this van and did two laps of Australia in it. We have now upgraded to the same van again but just with a slightly different layout inside. We will upload a walkthrough in the next couple of weeks .

Really nice view of Apollo Bay from Mareners Lookout. 50 years ago, I would ride my horse across the hills from our farm to sit in that same spot.

Thankyou, the van did really well. We did kill our fridge with a split cooling unit but that was driver error. Apart from that it was great 👍

Hi guys. We have a similar setup. Leader gold 18ft and 100 series. Just wondering what dust suppression setup you have? Also travelling on the Gibb did you break anything? What sort of maintenance do you do ie grease etc. Many thanks for your help. Regards david
Hi Mate, we don't have any dust suppression but wish we did. When we did the Gibb we killed our fridge from splitting the cooling unit on the back. I hit some corrugations to hard and knew I did some damage. Apart from that it was great 👍 Before we did the Gibb I made sure all the bearings were perfect.

That is Cobbald Gorge. It's on private property which run tours through there but don't offer swimming in this part unfortunately.
