Ay, sometimes chaos is the best way to paint something! I don't normally watch videos like this. Heck, I didn't even know LPS customizing was a thing. I just ended up watching those out of curiosity, and it was worth it! The figure came out really well. Keep up the good work!

A lot of 1/12 and even some 1/6 accessories l- especially food- can work well. 1/12 furniture is a bit trickier, as although Calico Critter/Sylvanian Family (and inexpensive competitors Lil Woodzeez and Honey Bee Acres) are *technically* 1/12 scale, they are chunkier than human figures would be at that scale, so your mileage with standard 1/12 scale furniture may vary. Many pieces from Rement also work well, although certain items like shoes will naturally not be designed with paws in mind. On the subject of plastic, there are pieces from Calico Critters that incorporate fabric- namely the beds and some sofas- that look quite nice. It would take a bit of extra work, but a good deal of the “plasticky” look can be covered up with paintwork and drybrushing. (Although I honestly don’t find the look of Calico Critter furniture to be plasticky at all.) Then again, vintage plastic is very much a thing- the 50’s practically went crazy for it. (And naturally the more recent vintage decades of the 80’s and 90’s had plenty of plastic as well. In fact, given that antiques are anything over a hundred years old, and vintage is 30+ years, there are probably more vintage decades with plastic than without at this point. On a side note, most any 1/12 set or house should fit LPS, with the possible exception of particularly narrow front doors on some kits- but if it’s a kit you can always just adjust that( or just never show anything going through the doorway.)
