For guitar players who want to play bass!
I realize a lot of guitar players play bass too. If you fall in that category, here's some bass stuff you might like.
It's a sneak peek into my "BG4" course ("Bass Guitar for the Rocker in You"). It covers the 3 biggest problems bass players have been telling me they really want to solve: 1) Learning songs; 2) Understanding music theory basics, from a bass player's perspective; 3) How to navigate the bass fingerboard confidently, and without getting lost!
Have a look and see if this video speaks to you. And if you're interested, you can get BG4. Enrollment is open now though Nov 1, 2024. Enjoy! - Jon

SO nice to hear Rick praise The Big Man Upstairs!! 🤗🥰
You had to see Rick with Johnny Winter, live. It was a life-altering experience!
Now I have to anoint my guitars with blessed oil no other oil will do, you really gotta hold on me, Praise the Lord
A 26 minute commercial. Not compelling content.
Jesus effin'g Christ, provide some content worth a damn if you want people to buy your course, I'm 5 minutes in and have learned absolutely NOTHING other than that you're selling a course.
It’s like watching commercial
That's all it is.
Rick is a cool dude!
Absolutely!
If you haven't heard Rick Derringer's guitar playing on Edgar Winter's White Trash Live Album, do yourself a favor and get it. Rick's guitar playing on "Still Alive & Well, Livin' in the USA and Tobacco Road" are simply jaw dropping! 👍
Agreed! Thanks.
Rick is very sharp and quite initellligent
Sure is. 👍
Great interview
Thanks, Ronald. Glad you liked it! 😁
He was telling about why Danny Gatling and Roy Buchanan liked their neck bowed and the damn interviewer managed to interrupt Mike and make him lose his train of thought. Way to go?! Mike is the best, deserves all the accolades he gets. I used to see him all the time at the 55 in the early 90’s.
"COURTNEY AND NIKKI GREAT PERFORMANCE.... YOU ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL"
😁
I friggin adore this guy. The music they created, he along with Johnny Winter and. Edgar Winter. stands the test of time
Rick’s great. Thanks for weighing in! 😁
Her presence and talent light up the stage🎼🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🌹🌹🌹🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
👍😀
Rock on rick
Or as Rick would say, “Keep on rockin’!” 😂
I met Al back around 2010 and talk guitars. It was awesome and he is a great guy. Best player I’ve ever heard.
14:32 AMEN!!!!
I love you Rick!!!!! Your music was the soundtrack of my life! I'm a very lucky man
He is mashed! 😂 LOVE you Richie ❤❤❤
Man he has a horrible sense of time lol but he’s sharp everywhere else. His timing on guitar is great tho and that’s all that really matters. One of my favorite guitarists ever.
Very interesting interview. Rick Derringer is an amazing guitarist.
RIP, Dean. Your music will live on. . .
I like Rick and respect his experience with the early years of rock, BUT. How can he leave out Little Richard and Chuck Berry who were also pioneers of early R&R?
They did Wes dirty in that thumbnail lols
Rick left the interviewer speechless with his gratitude and faith.
SOSOSO Happy for him he looks good. Dave's got All the money But Chris has inner peace. You can see it
RIP Nick and Gar
Strange question does he get paid for these interviews? I'd like Chris to get his due. Wish him the Best THANK YOU CHRIS for creating MEGADETH Not only Dave ok
WOW AMAZING a great ICON, I WISH I could see him sometime .
The GOAT, Rick Derringer. GOD BLESSED him, and us by him.
that's a really good interview. thanks for this!
ALWAYS LOVED RICK All American Boy Hooked
This interview is awkward and Wes looks stoned
Spike Jones!
Looks like Rick's cheeks have been plumped up. I think it's Botox that does that.
You are a small winding.
1992, 1993
I created your Engineering Department and you layed me off you traitor. Tyson Cobb.
Rick usually looks like he enjoys the occasional beer or other adult drink. I have been a Rick fan since "Rock N Roll Hoochie Koo" was first released. My Jaw still drops when I hear his Solo. Yet I still hear J Winters version more often nowadays, by choice.
I totally understand Al wanting to be a surgeon. I travel for a living, and don't make the money I want when I don't. The same with the music industry. Everything is free online now, the only way you can make money is go on tour. Tour schedules are extremely brutal. Every night a different city. Could be 1000 miles away. Try doing this when you are in your 70s. The biggest crime is watching someone who has little or no talent becoming super rich overnight. Then a guy like Al is superhuman talented, makes less. I guess the masses don't have musical taste. When staying in Germany I was surprised by all of his fans there. When I ask a German who the best guitarist in the world is, they tell me that it's Al Dimeola and everyone knows this.
Here's a vote for "Johnny Winter And" as the greatest rock'n'roll album ever. It'll blow the roof off your house and Derringer never sounded better
ricky nelson was big . rick was a talent who like all of us put it all together and made it great
I saw the McCoys open for The Rolling Stones in Bakersfield, CA in July 1966. He did stuff with the guitar I had never seen before. They pretty much stole the show.
Am a bit curious Rick, whatever happened to Danny Johnson guitar player who played for you ?
Hey Rick I would like to add something ? I had a warrior bass guitar and yes it is one of the finest guitars ever made.Rossville Ga .Is not far from my house in Alabama .I have another guitar +from a luither in Nashville Tenn hand made telecaster type fender guitar....excellent built...it's name Is JONTHAN ROSE GUITARS I STILL HAVE IT HAND MADE IN 1995....BIRDS EYE MAPLE NECK 3 P/U push pull pots..it is way ahead of it's time...thanks for great music Rick...God bless u.
Hey Rick I can't rember those players Like for Elvis.i can't remember..but to me Ricky Nelson.i knew his songs better then Elvis.except.that hound song....Anyway I rember Ed.And you got good on some song That hang on Sloopy.I love that song...
Guitar sellsman
I had no idea that Rick produced Weird Al. I think Rick only does what he wants to do. I do not think wierd al would sound as good with out Derringer.
14:30 that was moving to hear Rick Derringer say that!
He makes the best guitars
