I can keep myself from relying on the dlc persona's pretty well until I reach Okumura's palace, at which point I feel no shame bringing some of the high leveled ones out because that boss sucks so much.

Unrelated but... The Okumura boss fight was the only one where i used Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro to wipe out everything. I didn't have Hifumi's confiant, and i'm pretty sure i was underleveled, but i was just so frustrated after losing to that obnoxious astronaut sitting on his gamer chair while spamming trash cans at me.

i crafted Kaguya in my first playthrough and used her for Kaneshiro Palace, that was AWESOME, but she eat the mana very much ;) So my Leonid (protag`s name) have the caffeine poisoning

I actually used quite a few DLC Personas on my first playthrough, but I didn't know they were DLC, since I was playing Royal and they just appeared on my fusion list from regular Personas. I didn't buy them or anything, so I just went along with them as if they were in the base game

For the first phase on Merciless, I tend to like to like to use a Spotlight on Joker while not weak to anything the paintings can use (preferably Shiisaa, who also resists Phys), then take out the nose first so that the right eye is the one to waste its turn using Restore (while healing Joker as necessary). Ideally, the nose and right eye should be down before anything can attack you after The Artist's Grace, leaving Joker safe to guard until Painted Over and/or Spotlight wears off. If you have Rampage, Makouha, or Maeiha, you can burst down 3 paintings at once and whittle down the last one while setting up for the next phase. For the second phase, the clones take so much weakness damage that they're easy to take out without even much Baton Pass chaining, but it's still a good idea to form strong chains to land strong hits on Madarame himself. If you eliminate all clones every turn, you don't even have to worry about taking damage.

Really wished you had to do normal summons to get the dlc personas. That way you have to be at the right level to use them.

What I always did was use the DLC persona at my current level, like level 20 for izanagi
