Sonny Bill is a just retired H.O.F rugby league AND rugby Union legend. He made a name for himself in the NRL (league) as a heavy hitter, his left shoulder was devastating, shoulder blocks were legal up till 2014. He then switched codes to rugby union to play for the All Blacks where it was his passing offence that revolutionised union, he popularised the chicken wing dish pass, a disguised flick out the back of the hand that was rarely if ever used before he came along.His ability to pass the ball while being tackled by up to 3 guys at once is unmatched, a skill that instantly created a mismatch in numbers, taking out 2 or 3 defenders for one attacker means big holes in the defence somewhere as a result. He had to adjust his defence in union because shoulder blocks were always illegal in that game and early on he was a penalty magnet for illegally smashing guys with his shoulder which was allowed in the NRL at the time and on what he had built his reputation on. So he switched it up and became an offensive juggernaut instead with his passing and his running, 243 pounds of pure muscle and pretty quick , a 4.6 runner at a guess. Dude also was a pro boxer, fought bums tho so hard to judge if he was really any good, won the NZ heavyweight belt so he’a better than average. Legend of the game and humble off the field.

Hey , not a bad compilation, most were legal good form tackles. This is NRL, rugby league, a different version of the main rugby you see. That kicking back the ball under the legs restarts play after a tackle, each team gets 6 plays to go 100, touchdown ( try) 4 points, conversion 2. Tackle down when player is stopped while being held, that’s why a second hit on a guy on the ground is needed.. Ref gives a 3 count to let the guy up to restart next play while defence resets 10 back in a curtain. Kicking anytime but usually a last play punt option for field position. Haha just watched both AFL vids, good shiz. Like others said watch the What is AFL vid for a decent explanation. Very simplified version is you run and pass the ball down the field and then kick it through the middle 2 posts for 6 points, clearly while the other team is trying to stop that and do the same lol. 18 players for each team on the field. Fast paced, free flowing game that lasts on average about 2 hours of playing time. Very athletic sport. Looking forward to the next AFL vid, big hits or whatever don't care
