Sorry I missed this live...took me a week(?) just to get time to watch the recording. It was great seeing Alissa, Wookie, and Safi again! I'm still processing (and spending long days taking care of my mom), so I haven't had a chance yet to post my own thoughts about the game and its ending, but I will. Oh, and I don't think they've taken away the cap on friendvilles....when I tried to add someone a few days ago, it said I had to many Origin friends and had to delete some before I could send my friend request. 😔

I knew something was up when we didn’t get that little mini event that happens after a major event! I’ve been playing this since the beginning - my husband got me into it because he wanted my “neighbour” help during an event. We’ve playing ever since. We are both pretty upset about it. 😩💔😭 I love my town so much and put so many hours into it. *sigh I am so upset that I can’t even go into the game and just see my town without any updates. 💔

I am sad the game is ending. What is even more heartbreaking is that, we won't be able to access our towns come January 2025.

I was just talking about this with a friend of mines he lost his Call of Duty mobile account which he was upset but said I’ll start over I told him if I lost my Simpsons Tapped Out account I’d literally cry because I’ve spent thousands of dollars on it also the time I spent playing it and the very next day I come home and see it’s a new update at first I thought it was just an update about AI so of course I googled it and i was crushed.

Not surprised this is ending, Disney have a habit of destroying good things. 😢

Really sad. Started playing with my son when he was 6-yrs old and just kept going for the next 11 years. I am going to miss my little people and all of their sayings that live rent-free in my head. I am gutted.

TSTO Addicts sold there souls to Disney!!! Why you dont try to stop the End??? How much money you got from Disney Alison and Safi????

It all boils down to two things: 1. Revenue vs expenses. If you are running in the red, it's gone! 2. Technology / Software. Even if you want to keep it running, software marches on and sooner or later, it's obsolete and to keep patching the servers and your phones does not make sense and/or can't be achieved. That's why earlier versions of Windows and other Software platforms are just turned off. To keep supporting the patches alone becomes expensive! TSTO just hit the wall where the revenues were not their to justify the cost of converting / migrating the game to a new platform / software infrastructure without significant costs or fundamentally changing the game.

I cant say that I am surprised. It has felt like it has been coasting for quite a while. I was looking forward to Halloween and Christmas. At least they seem to be going out with a bang. I have mixed feelings about them offering all the premium items and giving out donuts.

Tbh, I haven’t played the game for almost a year. Every time I tried to log in, it took over 30 minutes. I knew it was a me thing and my device has to many videos. I chose videos over tapped. I played since 2012. That whacking day was awful, but the Easter thing with the converter was the worst. I didn’t understand rules. It’s easy to reminisce of old days, but I want to hear from you about your most HATED updates. That would be fun. Thanks for all your work over the years I honestly felt sad when I heard about the news. Like someone died. It puts into perspective that I should never spend money on any mobile game,

The worst shot to the gut is all the stuff they are " giving us " so awesome i spent money on this game this month,,, I just spent 6 mil in game on donuts , got a bunch of amazing things , but it's just a bad feeling.

feels weird to me, once played in 2014 or something like this at the same time as CoC for maybe 2 months and then i played back in 2017 so i could link my account to my origin/ea account and now, i was hyped to play the game back in june 2024, lucky to have resume my springield some months before the app is shut down
