      Yeah bro, hardware a preamp 💯, I would get one that retails around $500, like Warm Audio, A.R.T., BLA, Golden Age. I’m looking into the Black Lion Audio Auteur MK3 here in the spring. You can find some steals on Reverb.com… And mic looking into at the Lewitt mics LC240 or 440 or AKG c214 (I would recommend the c414 but it’s a 1000 bucks lol). Hope that’s a good starting point!

    I appreciate the vid. Tbh with you, I love reason but have recently been using it inside logic. Reasons browser needs to stop indexing everything you import. I’m glad you also touched on how uninspiring Ableton is. I’ve tried and actually invested in Suite, twice. Even the latest version. Visually ableton doesn’t do it for me at all and im realizing I even got it because it is the “popular” DAW. I pretty much have licenses for every DAW so I can see a lot of what Ableton does, is perfectly possible in most current DAWs. Excluding session view and you can already see others implementing their own version of it.

    Cool video. Have been on Reason since v2 back in 2002 and it’s come a long way since then - but - still has a long way to go in some respects. Sill my favourite DAW though and I feel privileged to have been part of Reason 13’s development.

      @ I was debating or still am kinda on the Focusrite Clarett, Presonus HD8 or the 828. I just got the Apollo x6 that came in yesterday but my dumb butt didn’t realize you can’t connect thunderbolt to USB4 which is my new pc build, so I’m exchanging for possibly the 828

    • @SupaMarioJCS
      @SupaMarioJCS หลายเดือนก่อน

      @StevenMikeyMusic for sure ! What won me was the 828 low latency.. the only con for me is you need the pc application to have control over the inputs on the back… other words there is not a knob on the interface that control the 3-8 I/O’s

    FYI The compressor will still meter regardless if the “dry/wet” knob is at 100% DRY 😏 Even if you were using the comp for it’s sound, at the setting you have it at, you can’t hear it. You didn’t ever bypass the comp as you did the limiter else you would have heard it. Love the video. No one ever speaks on using a CS for mastering. I never used the “mastering” setup in studio one my. Have to give it a go!

    You didn’t gain match the output with the input. Of course louder sounds hit harder. By gain staging properly on output one can hear a true gage of the plugin’s influence on the signal. I love this CS as well Btw the designer used to design for brainworx/plugin alliance Probably explains why it looks like the box console _n

    Thanks for the video. That edit screen is where it's at. I'm almost inspired to sample something. But I'll be honest, i do not want to take the hit for using a sample that isn't cleared. I don't have time for that. Lol. I recently noticed that i received the impact sampler in studio one, the bigger sampler in studio one, and the 2 synth instruments in the latest update for studio one artist.i already had the impact sampler, but i never used studio one much, other than to test that it worked, because i got it free with the audiobox interface. Have you used the 2 samplers in Studio One? Are they good? Do you have a video about them? I feel that samplers should be used to chop musical phrases and vocals. Drums too, but since i have lots of drum samples, i don't really chop drums. I'm hoping to see you sampling some oldies and making them sound good. I appreciate you sir. I wanted you to know that i watched the video and appreciate you making it. Have a good day.

    @DL-1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Congratulations on the new screen. You said that you have a half a million samples that you've saved over time. How often do you actually sample and chop music? Reason doesn't have it's own specific sampler so what do you use to chop your samples?(I know that Mimic can sample and show the wave file, but it's not the same as a dedicated sampler like Edison or Serato sample, etc. )how often do you make sample based music?

    • @SupaMarioJCS
      @SupaMarioJCS 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pretty often, I use samples in my music very often, but its tiny bits... I use Serato Sample very heavily, in Reason, Mimic I use in a way that I create around the same in Mimic, and when I use Serato Sample in Reason, its very strategic when loading samples, due to complexity of loading samples in Reason to Serato Sample. But you can also edit samples in the Nano Smapler, that is used in the KONG drim machine, by clicking on the waveform button, when going to browse a sample on that particular device. I should make a video reviewing that.

    • @DL-1
      @DL-1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SupaMarioJCS that would be cool. The nanosampler. I've used it a couple of times, and it was cool. But I haven't tried to master it or experiment with it because I don't really sample records. Maybe I should, because so many of the young guys are using chopped samples to make their beats. I never did it that much because I can't afford to clear samples,never tried it so I don't know how to do the paperwork, and I don't know how to earn enough revenue with music to make it worth the effort as well as keep up with royalty payments to the original sample owner. Maybe it's just fear talking. Also, I finally saw the rest of that random sample vst.for someone with a lot of one shot samples or a big sample library, that could be amazing. How you can lock a sample to a key to keep it in memory, then you can trim it edit it, is cool. Then add effects to it? That's cool. Can it open the file folder where that sample is stored on your hard drive if you click on it? Some samples are long or have empty space between phrases that makes it necessary to chop the sample up into smaller slices to keep the timing tight when you use it. I hope that it makes it easier for you to locate the file, drag it to the desktop, then load the file into Serato or mpc software. That vst was a lot more useful than what it originally sounded when you first talked about it. Thank you for making your videos. I have a lot to learn and I appreciate your help. Have a good day brother.
