The process is amazing but shockingly unsafe. Also, rinsing the final electrolysis bath off with a hose. That would introduce quite some chrome, nickel, cyanide into the environment, assuming it isn't treated. That is not good at all. Still I fully appreciate that other options might not be viable or affordable. It's very easy to complain from a 'developed nation' perspective. About 50 years ago, all major rivers in Europe were dead. Same issues basically.
