Paul Procter APT (All Purpose Terrestrial) pattern
"Ten Minute Fly"...the APT. Granted, the camera momentarily goes out of focus in one or two places, I'm working on that. This fly has developed from using peacock herl and pheasant tail fibres for the body to this more robust dressing here. I hope it inspires any budding fly tyers to have a go.
Stay safe folks P

Such minimum of effort. So nice to see in the clear water. I live in Colne Lancashire and unbelievably due to the Ribble trust and the fish passes we now have Grayling that have migrated from the Ribble up to Colne Water.

Its a shame that because of videos like this, our once outstanding back country fishery is now over run with overseas anglers, Paul.

Dont be so entitled JP. Anyone passionate enough to travel to NZ to fish has every right to respectfully enjoy our rivers. Especially with great fish handling/release like this.

thankyou for the video.my observation showed just the softest "ring" dimples on the surface.can you tell me perhaps what stage they may be feeding on?one clue flat water and no visible adults on the water.i tie flies and want to mimick this stage.Thankyou.

Hi Paul, I'm wondering if i could use few seconds from your video in my next upload. I've been wanting to record that crazy catch but I've been unlucky recently. Hopefully we'll see each other in bosnia one day. Regards www.vakvrak.no Team.
