I started playing again just recently and I'm doing the same thing now, unlike my first playthrough. And, beating Attacus is a pain in the ass. Long battles are really bad. Thanks for the video, I'm gonna try your paradigm strategy and hope that I beat it soon.

Why display random spectrum?

This was a beautiful journey

For early game, I like the Grappa Whitewoods with Lightning and Hope. There's 6 slugs near an elevator. Quick battle then up and down the elevator to respawn. Takes about a minute. And for lazy, gil-only farming, I ride chocobos in a full loop around, then teleport to the other side of the steppe and repeat.

Fang Vanille Hope was my first party for killing toises properly (without death or summons), but honestly I still love that party with max crystarium and max upgrades etc. My fave party earlier on is probably Fang Vanille Sazh marginally though because of all the debuffs/debilitations, the offensive buffs sazh brings plus another com (the trade off being hopes defensive buffs, medic, and all aga magic). < usually you dont need to be fully defensive in the game but a party snow/vanille/hope is probably the best if playing such a way I love the sen/med/med paradigms with vanille and hope just in general as there is no better healing since they both get curaja. Snow is a better sen than fang but usually I found he is overkill as a sen and only needed rarely as a sen (fangs sen is usually fine). Him and snow do get curasa though on their medics. Lightning sentinel is arguably better than both Fang/Snow with Elude but again that's probably only situational against things like Neochu The only downside to a Fang/Vanille/Hope party is having only one decent com until you get vanille and hope with their coms levelled. The damage vanille and hope do with rav until then isn't exactly bad, though. In fact Hope is very strong with hawkeye maxed and magic damage accessories. Eagletalon is cheap to upgrade as well iirc

Honestly, I don't think it's that worth grinding anything until endgame (pulse basically). Having said that I think the spot on the ship (with a save point on the deck) is the only place I would consider farming gil from early game. 99 chips basically. I just walked a circle on the pulse plains starting at the save point and back at the save point to grind for everything. I'd kill the babies as well for the gold nuggets cause they went down so fast. I preferred this to Edentoise or sacrifices as I loved the music and scenery better. By the time I spawned Long Gui there was no reason to farm them for anything lol as already had the crystarium maxed. Its nice to have them there for a "fun" challenge now, though, but I feel like there is some rng involved in the success rate. Whilst sacrifices are the best for gil, and long gui best for CP, they both have lower rates on the opposite resource. The toise round trip just seemed better for an all purpose farm to me. Any time spent on sacrifices is time wasted not getting a trapezohedron too (essential items basically unlesd the player is on their 10th run of the game and a speedrunner who doesn't need a T3 weapon for anything) Nice video btw

Shaolong gui was a beast

I would just add something : Shaolong Gui is notoriously very RNG a single Bay can ruin your battle and force you to restart it. Great video and thanks for the time spent on this amazing game :)

To be frank, before Pulse, it's better to just sell weapons and accessories to get gils. The CP/Gils per hour is not efficient at all. By selling the costly weapons and Accessories, you get enough gils to upgrade your first weapons (Blazefire Saber, Wild Bear, Vega and arguably Bladed Lance) who are much less expansive than the other and strength/magic accessories.
