Share code?? 😢
It's PlanetCoaster 1, so no share code; and I don't upload my stuff to the workshop. (Why? Because I don't want to)
The game is SO BAD. The problem is that it's so fundamentally flawed I don't think it'll ever be fixed.
Merry Christmas and a Happy new year❄️
Merry Christmas, dear Dinon!
Merry Christmas ya filthy animal
And A Merry Christmas to you and yours.🎅
Much love, Wolf
Taking the train back to PC1?
lol! I am floating somewhere in between...
Did you have a change of heart, sister?
@@jash2527 no child - the game is still a dumpster fire
🥲 aww dang. Totally get it, the game has a shit ton of ridiculous bugs and features that are just... well ridiculous. I hope i see you posting again soon ❤ the one good thing is this is a very clear itemized list of issues for them to fix. Lets hope they do it
From your luscious lips to Frontier's ears!
It has issues, but I think we forget how rough PC1 was at launch too. We're comparing the new release with the original after years of updates and improvements.
But that is exactly the thing, isn't it? PC2 isn't the first game ever, it's a second iteration of a standard they almost perfected over the past 8 years. The game shouldn't be this poorly designed and this buggy.
I would recommend to play this game without the realistic point of view😊 there is no need in having everything perfect to play this game, the game don't even ask for realism to play it
Who's talking about realism? I Just want the game to function and be fun, no struggle
Have you ever watched the vids of gamemeneer playing planet coaster, not everything has to be perfect to have fun😊 sometimes it is the imperfection that makes things way more fun
@@patricks1841 I am not looking for a perfect game, but I do wish for a game that is at least as intuitive as its predecessor(s).
It’s a shame. There are so many wins with this game like the smoothness of the coaster builder and the water pieces and especially scaling, all just ruined with stupid ui, mechanics and just so many steps back from Planck 1
I feel the exact same way. A lot of things are absolutely fantastic! But they get dragged down because the game can feel like such a chore to interact with... 😕
Planet Coaster 2 takes a lot of UI options, menu choices, and general 'feel' in gameplay from Planet Zoo, which is the post-Planet Coaster 1 project for Frontier. There really wasn't a PC1 - PC2 pipeline. As a player of Planet Zoo (after spending years playing Planet Coaster), I got use to the way Planet Zoo works - and as such the quirks of Planet Coaster 2 really don't bother me. I can certainly see people coming from PlanCo 1 to this, and finding the differences between them menu, control, and UI-wise, could be shocking. Frankly, I don't see most of the issues. Yes, pathing has some issues every once in a while, but its nothing that cannot be worked around quickly - and its certainly more feature-filled than the pathing in PC1. The game launched with some bugs it shouldn't have, but 99% of those were patched with the Dec 11 update. I'm really not a fan-boy at all of any of the "Planet" games -- I just don't see where all the hate is coming from. As someone who has played it, it seems like a lot of the hate is simply because its 'cool' to hate on a game other people are hating on.
I wish I could agree with you, but I don't think 99% of bugs and design/logic flaws were fixed in the 12 December update.
I stopped playing it because most of the flat rides from the first one are missing, like the troika from Cedar Point. I don't understand why they didn't carry all the rides from the first one over to this one, so I got bored easily. Also, there are no security guards. Ugh, this game is not finished; they should have delayed it.
@@terrexcorbin I don’t get that either. Although I spotted an old flat from PC1 in their badly-timed DLC.. Very cheeky. But hey, we got a plunge-and-dunk water bucket ride from the 1920s that no one has ever heard of..
My biggest gripe is I feel like I'm just constantly spamming esc until I accidentally open the menu whenever I'm switching between tasks. Like I would hit esc like I would in PC1 to go from doing one thing to another thing, and then realize I can't do the new thing yet, so I just spam esc lol. Overall though, I think the new tools are too much of an incentive for me to go back to PC1 any time soon. I love the pathing tool so far. I love the coaster smoothing. I'm excited to eventually start theming rides with scenery pieces. I love the scaling too. I love attaching pieces to the moving pieces. All stuff I wanted from PC2. So for me it still feels worth it even though I'm constantly having to take 10 extra steps because the angle snap turned off for no reason, and now my perfect alignment is messed up.
Constant ESC or tapping the right mouse button.. It's exhausting.
Most of the streamers I've watched just ignore the Notifications, far too many of them relate to staff (access to staff room, things not being maintained). The issues your talking about are workflow, the UI makes it too hard to do certain tasks, makes the game a chore.
Absolutely, and it really sucks the fun out of it.
There are lots of issues I agree with in this video but I still think pc2 is so much more fun and entertaining than pc1
Hey, if you are getting your money's worth out of PC2, then you have a good thing going :-)
Fair, honestly. "It's no fun" is a perfect summary.
Haha yes. And that, my friend, is exactly what leaves such a bad taste. If the game were quirky and maybe less-than-logical, but FUN... We would all be having a ball with PC2 :-)
Frontier dropped the ball hard here and chose quantity over quality with Planet Coaster 2 to try and get it on every console to maximize profits.
Something tells me they were in a real bind.. but that's no excuse.
same here planet coaster 2 sucks that is why im sticking to planet coaster its way better
yeahhh I just doesn't look as pretty as PC2! 😞 But I totally get you.
Same here played for a week and was bored not fun.
An a hard week it must have been..!
what is with these city builders/ park builders sequels also releasing as such a hot mess, cities skylines 2 is missing so many things from the first game, and it seems like this game is the same
I think in both cases you can clearly tell that the development team has changed dramatically. And for some reason, it feels like information, knowledge and learnings weren't properly documented..?!
Pc2 and PZ just run and feel odd like writing with a dull pencil and PC is a G2
I never played Zoo. What does G2 mean?
Agreed. The game was not ready for launch. It's a mess.
I wonder if 6 more months would have made a big difference. I doubt it...
Im still sticking with Planco 1, its just better
I sadly, despite all the glorious graphic updates, feel the same way.
dont cry cs 2 realse was worse than this
That's hardly helpful as it's a different game and I don't play CS2. Besides, just because one thing is worse doesn't mean one cannot comment on the state of this game.
Considering how many ppl playing or not playing the game, you are sadly not alone with your opinion on this messy game. I doubt they gonna fix everything as well. Its too much to fix, that it will never reach the Planet coaster 1 fun. Yes it has potential but to which cost? As you said: its a constant battle. I regret the pre-order and will not play for a while and give it another try in maybe 6-12 months. The old UI needs to come back fully. The Guests also are broken as f. I wont even start talking about the slides
100% agree. I feel like a couple of things are relatively easy fixes: Bring back the old multiselect flow, give me the option to entirely turn off any and all notifications, and fix the colour tool. My goodness, if they were to fix those three things, the game would already be so much more pleasing, and that is despite the fact that it got launched without the most common themes you find in almost every theme park (pirates, wild west, fantasy, sci-fi).
@DutchieBuilds 100% dude. Love your buildings and such a shame you wont continue for a while, but its understandable.
I feel the same. Lots of other Things in building that just Sucks the Fun and Joy out of me. I open a save and I can't have any fun. I have zero feeling that I have crossed my Goal level set be my standards. I get it but I hate the new Power electric and water pool pump and filtration needs. It just is not needed in sandbox. It is like forcing you to park manage in sandbox. Every time I open a Saved Park I have a Crap ton of Notification Warnings because after you Mute each one the game auto turns them back on every time you load the park. Sucks the fun right out of me. Sucks the Creativity right out of me.
Those water and power needs you can, luckily, turn off. I always thought the management aspect of Planet games was weak, but then again I don't play it as a simulator, but more as a "painting tool", so to speak. The notifications are crazy annoying and enough to turn me off, too.
to be honest, i got used to most of the quirks pretty quickly. yes, its annoying, but its not that bad imo. i love the path tool. if you mess up with this kind of path tool, its probably not the tool's fault. yes it has some quirks, but most things work fine. just look into the topology, thats where most "bugs" come from. 2 verticies being too close to each other and stuff like that. the only thing missing from the path tool is a round hole stamp. the only thing really bothering me about the is the fucking notifications. theyre sooo annoying. and the fact that there is basically no useful props at all. the wall sets are nice and useful, but the props just suck. i want TMTK back as soon as possible.
I would say the path tool is 90% really good. I would like a round stamp, too, and it would be nice if the stamp tool existed for queues. Feels like such an odd step back to not being able to quickly create square queue paths. (I know there is a workaround, but I am talking about a simple, QUICK way to get it done, like in PlanCo1)
You said it very well. It’s just no fun. And it feels like there is just much less content for this game than the first one. Tired of building the same coasters and placing the same flatrides.
Yeah and the themes the game launched with are nice, but.. not exactly the staple of theme park design. I don't feel inspired.
Just make sure you buy the paid dlc 😊
@@johnp6115 lol - after you!
@@DutchieBuilds So polite!
I stopped playing cause all the bugs too.Now they want to sell dlc already for high price.Plant coaster 2 should've been a dlc for first game after all the bugs
I agree. I think the DLC is overpriced for what you get, and the timing is terrible.
I can see both sides of the coin. I am personally enjoying the game. However, I can understand being upset by the current state. I’ll even agree that some tools feel clunky and some don’t exist that I’m surprised they don’t (random rotation). But I also have to stay optimistic. Planco is my favorite game and I’d hate to see this game die before it’s really gotten started.
Keeping my fingers crossed, too!
same here gone back to planet coaster
ah, that's a tough one.. because PC2 just LOOKS so much prettier...!
Sorry, disagree Planet Coaster 2 is miles better than PC1 which was awful... So bad in fact I went back to RCT3.
@@chdreturns hey, I’m happy for anyone who gets something good out of this game! :-)
Planco2 is miles worse than planco2, I think you’ll like Parkitech more than RCT3, or it’s just nostalgia
@@ryancommenter-r7o which planco is worse than which planco?
I completely understand you, i hated the game at the start so much. The controls felt horrible, the shortcuts were strange. I hardly got through the tutorial. I really was so frustrated because I bought an entire new pc with a very high videocard to run this game smoothly (my pc does runs it smoothly though). Building my first coaster felt like such a pain to me. I was fighting with the game soooo much. Building anything felt like a chore But now I’m starting to finally get the hang of it. It’s still not perfect but now I start to little by little understand how it works and getting the hang of it. Still I have nitpick that bug me often.
@@psychic2you I wish I experienced that “click” you describe - but until now, the game just doesn’t click for me!
@@DutchieBuildswell I kept playing because I want to enjoy the game. The management aspect is hard, but I think I finally understand how it works. Still I’m just working in my first carrier park. However I will admit that I love the decorating flat rides. My flying chairs ride, I was amezed that the Pegasus I added on top moved with the ride. I love that feature, as well the decorating the trains of a coaster. Still decorating is not my best thing.
Oh man, I hate that you're having such a poor experience in the game.. that sucks. At least most of us creators have sorta found a way around some of the, shall we say, quirks of the game.. but everything you say here is all perfectly valid and reasonable..... we shouldn't HAVE to work around these quirks and I totally get why you're do disheartened by it. That staff building thing is ridiculous. One notification to tell you that you don't have one and another to tell you that the one you don't have is full. The game feels fragile and sticky to the touch. Like every extra click inexplicably has a function to it and a reason to be in the workflow... but there has been no efficiency pass done to ensure that extra clicks aren't added in for the sake of a "happy path" This isn't a cities 2 style mess up.. despite what people say... but this game was not ready to see the light of day. At least Prison Architect 2 was pulled because it was so unfinished... This should have been the same and we told them this in September when we played it as a preview. I hope you can find your spark with it, I really do... but until then, sit it out and wait to see if it gets better.. we will still watch when you do..
Thank you, dear friend. You are saying all the right things, and that brings some comfort 🙂 I truly hope we look back on this a year from now, with a game that plays like a gem.
I understand where you are coming from completely. I have THOUSANDS of hours in planet coaster 1, and still played it regularly even to date. I purchased the pre-release of Planet Coaster 2, and was very excitied for it to come out. However, since the game has released, I have only found myself playing it far less than I first thought I would. The game feels much more complicated and much more of a chore to interface, I struggle to get partiucularly excited or inspired to play Planet Coaster 2, and it is a shame.
Exactly my sentiments! I sometimes have a nice idea, but then I think "Oh.. But that means having to open Planet Coaster 2 and dealing with its terrible UX." That, to me, is probably the worst part of it all: I simply don't want to play the game anymore. Sometimes I'll open the game, only to click around aimlessly and say "fck it" and quit after 30 minutes...
The worst thing sbout this whole situation is there fanboys trying to silence valid critic points and trying to label everyone as hater. The game is factually just a buggy unfinished mess :/ and to be honest i dont really see them turning this 180 around unfortunately
I don't see it happening, either. Can't put my finger on it as to why not, but it would require quite the overhaul and I just don't see Frontier expending all that effort. They might not even be able to afford to...
@ yeah the 20% sale 1 month after release really isnt a good sign at all. Not only are their sales apparently low but they also burning the loyal fans who bought the game on day 1 and gave them trust in the project… well i guess only time will tell
Did you see the genius on the subreddit that called for the moderators to ban those that complained? There are many things improved since PC1 but I get bored pretty quick as well. The ”game” is basically a canvas you can paint/build stuff on but no depth at all. And to see the devs talking about improved flume physics…
@ yeah ive also seen many people on youtube comments simply denying all the issues other players have with the game. They dont seem to understand that if the game rund fine and ok for them than thats fine, but to tell others that their experience or issues are not real is just not fair and totally toxic for the community. Same goes to those who get emotional with their opinion and insult the devs etc, thats also not ok. But many people are beeing totally fair with their points
@@jonasjohansson5038 haha yes I see some "gatekeepers" trying to tell others what to think and how to speak. But that doesn't change anything about the fact that we're dealing with a rather poorly designed game.
This game is now dead. And Frontiers will go bankrupt soon. It's over. This will never be a successor of Planet Coaster 1. So sorry. I feel sad for me buying a "Deluxe" Version for a full price, and now they are selling a premium edition for less with a new "DLC"... :) Game is still unplayable, lacking anything.... no management, not enough content at all, nothing. Never again. For me it's the modern Rollercoaster Tycoon World fiasko now.
Damn that is bleak. A part of me worries, too, that time is running out for Frontier and that we'll be left with a heavily unfinished game, with just three base themes and.. that's it.
bro, this is just wrong. i also feel like the game isnt finished, but have you been around for the release of Planet Coaster 1? it was a hot mess back then, let me tell you that. the game looked awful and barely had any content. now look at what Planco 1 is today. totally different thing. Planco 2 can already do more than Planco 1 ever could. the only thing missing is TMTK support, so the community can create new scenery assets, and maybe some basic stuff in the game. but let's be real, Planco 1 had the same issues. Most of the time, the problem sits in front of the computer, you need to take time to learn using the software, just like any other software. you cant expect to play a few hours and be a pro. I am an Archviz guy, so i use 3D software for my work, and i know how to design realistically, and i have lots of fun playing Planco 2. its so much more intuitive than professional 3D software, and its kind of a stress relieve for me. it has it's quirks, but the tools are amazing. The pool tool, the water slides (i dont fucking care about the physics tbh, its a game lol), the AMAZING path tool, wich is such an upgrade to the first one (and if you think it sucks, just use the old tool, its included lol) the thing that actually bothers me is "missed oppoprtunities". like the moving pieces, their animations are useless and weird. but the idea is great. they will hopefully just improve on that. or the choice not to include humanoid animatronics. like why? or the planco 2 logos everywhere. i dont really see a technical problem with the game, just poor design choices. or things like the turntable on the multiverse coaster only being able to make a 90 degree turn instead of a 270 degree turn but i also dont like the fact they are already selling a DLC. it looks kinda useless and is totally overpriced. if any, i would buy asset packs. assets are what we need right now, not flatrides.
Dramatic much? 😂 It's not that bad. And way better than PlanCo1 at this point after it's release.
What are you yapping 😭
如果他们真的用心了,那么他们的能力真的太差。如果他们没有用心,那么过山车之星2就应该是一款垃圾游戏
I guess it's a bit of both..!
I feel your frustrations man, the game is broken in many different ways, I’m still able to find enjoyment from the game but it’s frustrating at times. Hopefully it improves and you can find enjoyment out of this game
Yeah it's that feeling of having to battle the UI and how one navigates the game that reaaaally puts me off.
I respect your decision, glad you made this video. I'm going to keep trying to power through due to lack of anything else in my life at the moment, but I'll also keep complaining louder and louder until I get what I want. The game, the new DLC rollout, and this week's update have all been outright insulting and they need to hear that from every corner. (But hey, don't play CS2: It's still even worse.) I do hope you find something to hold you over until this gets better.
I couldn't agree more. I wish I were more hopeful that they'll turn things around..
“Bitch where?!” took me out. Honestly, I feel you and I’m sorry PC2 rolled out as such a shitshow.
I let it all out! Let's hope they turn things around some day...
It's sad really, there was so much interaction when Planet Coaster1 came out, I feel the new DLC should have been like "Here, play with this for free whilst we fix issues" there's so much going back and forth between menu's, if you want to set staff to a specific "zone" you have to open up a schedule which is in a full window over the top of everything, why not a simple dropdown menu where you select which? you're constantly in and out of menus. I think the most dumb thing I've seen so far is the pre-order water coaster, it has a verticle lift hill that's way too big, 2 transitions into water, one of which is a REALLY nice transition, but it doesn't slow the car down, and the other has a transition into water from a horizontal piece of track, like how can you go so wrong :/ and flat bottom water slides. I'm glad the reviews are mixed this time round, Also I'm a little sad, I had your Planet Coaster 2 videos on a playlist to watch later, and I can't watch them now :(
Aaron I absolutely agree. The tedium of having to click your way through (and out!) of menus is one of the things that bother me so very much. I didn't know about the pre-order water coaster. That is because I haven't even really got to the coasters! Don't worry about missing out on the three PC2 videos I had up: IF Frontier manages to turn things around (doubtful they will), I will definitely start a new park :-)
Oh, so Sad, beacous I like the intro and the story for the begining of this park. I am not A content creaters of the game, but is A big fan of Frotier and Coaster and Flatride Parks of game. But i am sad beacous i pre-ordered A Deluxe edition of the game, and they now so early releasen A little pack of 5 rides, befor they have fix all the bugs, graphics, pysics, and impliment mutch of the functions from the last update og the base Planco 1 game. I think A New game shold have the most of the improvments from the last, with many New things. I also newly payed Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Soaked, and some thing are mutch better in that game than Planco 2. I feel we players that are fans of A game, Deserves to be appreciated more, especially when we pay for the game with our own money. Many Content creators get the game for free, while also making money from youtube, tiktok, tweetch and more. But we who perhaps play the most never make videos and content from it, for A job.
I think PlanetCoaster 1 was out for... 7 or 8 months? before they released their first DLC. It is such a shame to see the game go down this route..
Sad to see. I subscribed because I got recommended this serie. Any plans on doing similar projects in PC1 or Planet Zoo?
Definitely not going back to PC1 but let's hope PC2 will get fixed so that it becomes a really nice game to play.
Woah! How did you get the rain effect?
