Interlocking Brick Mold | Puppy Chow
First-year engineering project within a First-year Interest Group InterEGR 170 course at UW Madison.
The project is an interlocking brick mold developed for a community in rural Kenya. This video was part of our final, and serves as an overview of our semester working on the project.

Can you please share the 3d model files
@ Ridwan Yu: The brick size can vary from a small size of 240 * 120 * 60, through to 300 * 150 * 100. The mix, well, there are many varieties, depending on what materials that you have available to you. The one that is bandied about is 6 parts sand, 3 parts clay and 1 part cement, and not too much water! The machine to press the bricks, well, am not a fan of the over cam type machine, as you are working with a fixed amount of material, and are not able to get excessive compression. Am building a 'see saw' machine, where a jack uses a fulcrum to get force. More raw material in the mould, higher compression should mean a better, more solid brick with a higher MPA rating.
Nice
This is amazing. How would I make a brick out of food products for storage. Like oats, flour, anything powder without adding liquid?
What’s the purpose?
Thanks for the clarification..I have some more questions..how to reach out to you
Can i see the moulds size ?
