In the event of a power outage? Backup diesel generators? I'm confused. If it's a PV farm, wouldn't backup battery make more sense? I mean, what kind of outage would stop the sun from showing up in a few hours (few could be as much as 72)?
Yes, battery storage and direct transmission systems would potentially be best, and most cost effective
Regarding land requirements, I think advancements in technology are leading to a decrease in the number of solar panels needed to construct solar farms, resulting in a reduced utilization of land over time.
Why is there such a big difference between the published price for carbon in the Eu markets for renewables and the voluntary prices shown in this presentation? Does the regulation really drive this price up?

Most of the solar panel cleaning can be done using a "dry brush" method with no water -- even by robots on rails. A small crew can spot-clean any stubborn stains with regular check up from ground or by aerial drone.
I think most countries allow the local council/government to use the land for electricity cables. especially farmland.

The poll at 16:00 was written in an incredibly biased way. The only option for 'no' required the respondent to state that they thought the taxonomy was too complex and confusing. There are many other reasons that they could answer no without being the stupid person who found the taxonomy confusing! Also 'Yes' is framed as 'Absolutely' which implies that it is the answer the person posing the question was looking for.
