I just put a funnel machines gas tank. Take the tank fill cap/nozzle off and pour fuel through the funnel into the tank.

The EPA has despised internal combustion yard equipment for at least 30 years! They hate them because they haven’t been able to throw emissions crap on them. Look at all the polluting lawnmowers that are used maybe an hour a week for 5 - 6 months a year! What about all those snowblowers spewing their clouds of death in the frosty winter! Hey, we can’t confiscate these pollution sources so why don’t we make it a pain to use them? Maybe the people will get so fed up with gasoline that they will run out and buy an electric mower and snowblower!

The newest models are even worse, they are just unusable. At least this one is usable, no need to add a vent, they are self vented.

I have this style spout with the green latch which toggles the valve open. I filled the can, and when it got hot the expansion pushed the valve open even though the latch was closed. You'd think not a problem, just let the air escape and the pressure is released. Nope, it is not air that comes out. The spout inverted inside the can siphoned out over a cup of gas before I saw it. That little valve swivels on two plastic nibs the size of a pencil lead. It is a huge safety hazard. I wanted to replace the whole thing with the old style pull-out nozzle and a solid screw-down lid, but the threads don't match.

Don't forget, only use good quality usb power supplies! Those cheap ones that come with low end products and ebay? Throw them OUT. They are DEATH TRAPS. The power supplies Dollar General sell are cheap AND safe. Don't go lower.

I chop the ends of broken usb cables off and use them in projects.

Yes sometimes music needs to be less instead of more. Really distracting unless it’s turned down and it’s not wannabe disco . But I couldn’t have agreed more. EPA is ridiculous. We’re once again paying taxes for the government to work against us. If anything, I’d prefer states figure out containers and that would be 50 ways of making them and of course the best ones would be duplicated. Great video as usual

How there was never a class action suit, how someone has not been run out of the EPA for this, I do not know. Shame on the companies that make this. Dispensing gas or filling it, it is wasteful and dangerous. Dear EPA, how many gallons of gas have been spilled with the new "safe" design? How many people have been douse and how many have horrible burn scars. Americans used to be smarter than this!

Great job! The sealant you used seems like it would make easy replacement of the vent if the lanyard breaks. I've thought of cutting the lanyard in the middle and maybe adding some thick monofilament crimped. It's an idea that needs development.

Your choice is to not buy new cans. I can avoid the spout by buying a flex spout with a breather. Two problems solved with one spout. a modified gas can is illegal and gas station have the right to deny filling your fuel cans.

Don't blame the EPA, blame sh!tty, privately owned, manufacturers. Some of them are the problem. Stop buying their products. There are better cans that meet the EPA requirements. No-Spill, and now a copy of No-Spill that may be less expensive at Home Depot called Easy Can.

Never spills a drop with the old ones,,the new ones,,,Yeah, I STILL smell like Gas from all the gas on the floor, over the tank, etc
