This is a blast to build, and yes, that arm needs to go in LAST! I've built a dozen or more of these things, that part is always a headache. (I sanded the joint down a bit to get it to snap in easier) I did one of these for Franco himself a few years back for his collection of crapola. Love the color you used, looks great!

I believe the Royal Navy crewed these boats for Omaha and Utah…are there any pieces of equipment or information in the kit to indicate this?

86 & 87 G.N or GNX were black head rest.
