I don't think I noticed that the birds were so close, actually as I was approaching I did kind of power up and move away. Of course I was a little over the grass again, my bad habit..

Yep those are turkey vultures. There was about 100 of them flying around tehachapi this morning.

This has long since given up the ghost, I now have a better quality camera a Mobuis from Amazon. It was like 70 bucks not the best but very good quality 1080P at 60fps at the fastest good enough for prop planes.
