Oak Folding Chair
I had some oak sitting around the garage and I thought it would be fun to make a folding chair based on a cheap one I bought. It turned out to be a fun project to grow skills because there's a lot of moving parts (literally). I used an oak dowel for the seat axle but I think I'll replace it with threaded rod or some other type of metal axle for added strength.

      It’s a DIY version of the rockler material mate so I’d probably get sued if I sold them 😆 But yes I am still happy with it. If I were to modify anything, I would probably use 4 swivel casters instead of 2 swivel and 2 fixed. Also maybe making a heavier base for more stability. Other than that it’s been working great!

    @fangerwoodworks it's been 3 weeks since you've made this...are you happy with the design or does it need modification? How often do you need to change the filters? It's been ridiculously humid here...same for you? If so is it still effective?

    • @fangerwoodworking
      @fangerwoodworking 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The only thing I may change is fitting a 2”, 3”, or maybe 4” filter instead of 1”. That way it’s less restrictive on air flow. That being said, it’s been working fine and I’ve found uses outside of the shop. I had a leaking water heater and I used this to help dry the area but also filter any mold spores with a higher quality filter. Even got a compliment from the plumber on the design 😆 Humidity has been terrible lately but I added a mini split to my garage so that helps keep it cool and take out the humidity.

    • @fangerwoodworking
