    Such a easy, practical technique for determining team project deliverables. Helps elevate the discussion of tasks centered around customer satisfaction. (Taking in consideration the essential elements: resources, budget, and ROI.)❤❤

      I haven’t used a happy planner in such a long time - now I use my own leader standard workbook, but I wonder if I have an old planner around that I can share. I LOVED using any insert that had a long to do list next to hours or the day so I could work in time blocks. :)

    I would really like to see a 'boots on the ground' video... As in, how exactly to use these templates (set as background), and how to 'insert' updates, writing, notes, etc., that ACTUALLY STAY within the margins of the background templates and don't drift around, elbow other previous notes off to some other 'nether region' of the One Note page. That is just SOOO frustrating. So far, no one's address that --- that I can find.

    The only reason im watching this video is because my department director and department manager wanted me to research peer to leadership. I recently got "promoted" from a job coach to a job coach 2. They currently have no defined roles for the job coach 2, so im doing my previous job tasks on top of additional responsibilities. Honestly i feel like im about to quit.

    • @kaylafaheyahrndt
      @kaylafaheyahrndt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Im sorry to hear that! Cool about the promotion tho! Is anyone in the job coach 1 role now or is it just you? I’m going to look for my videos on RACI matrixes. You are likely going to have to define your own role. th-cam.com/video/mB9huNipPqY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FrFncaL5cNtl6Gk- this video may help you. It’s an overview and I have a free checklist in there.

    • @BOOGiNS
      @BOOGiNS 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I have 4 job coach 1's in a lesser role than I play. They are being told to report to me and I'm being told to give feedback on their performance daily. But it just makes me look like the bad guy now. Cause I notice everything. (Hence my 'promotion') but I have yet to be able to reformulate a connection with the job coach 1's. I feel a bit lost at the moment having only been in this role for the last month.

    • @kaylafaheyahrndt
      @kaylafaheyahrndt 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BOOGiNS if it were me, I would start with an open team convo or you could do this 1:1 with each of them, and just be honest that this is a new role for you and you’re being asked to create it without much direction. I’d flip that story you may be telling yourself that this stinks to excitement over the fact that you get to create this role into whatever you and the team want. Think of the type of leader you wished you had when you were a job coach 1. You get to be the person who helps others grow and removes any barriers they have to doing a good job in their work. That’s really empowering. Idk that I’d lean into daily feedback before I have these convos and establish some ideas for what your new role can do to support them first and then help them grow with feedback. Your’re right - you’ve got to establish those relationships first. Write down all the ideas you and your team have for how your leadership role is different and can support the team. Write down any projects or wishes you had when you were job coach 1 that you never had the capacity to do. And that is the start of your new job responsibilities. And then I’d be sure to set up 1:1’s with your leader to share your learnings and establish your own expectations for the role and get their buy in. And I’d also set up 1:1’s with each job coach 1 and share that it’s dedicated time for them with you to share what they are working on and escalate barriers. And then it’s also a time for you to provide feedback and help them with their barriers and prioritize their work. Gotta start with the basics and build this new role up. And transition out of doing job coach 1 stuff and into a leader as coach 2

    Use this matrix to decide what projects to spend your time and resources on. Impact vs. Effort Matrix ⬆️Impact ⬇️Effort - These projects are the ones that help your team, people, or self in your work in a big way, but are fairly easy, cheap, or low risk to do. Prioritize these first! Have you used this tool before to decide how to prioritize projects?

    Your purpose will change as your grow 🌱AND you may need to spend some time reflecting on what it is and how you choose to be everyday to make the best impact. Instead of directly impacting patients (for example)…your purpose may be doing that indirectly through: ⭐️impacting your team members’ well-being ⭐️providing team members with the right tools to do their jobs ⭐️professionally developing yourself and others ⭐️creating vision and strategy for achieving goals ⭐️creative solutions to tough problems The list goes on! Can you see how this might take some reflection and thoughtfulness to appreciate and articulate? PRACTICE: ➡️Take 5 mins at the end of the day tomorrow (or any day this week) and write down some bullet points like this, reminding yourself of ways you had impact and see your purpose unfold in front of you. ➡️Once you see themes or even areas you wish were on your list but are missing, you can intentionally strive to be that leader you want to be. Leadership isn’t about the “doing,” it’s about the “being.” It’s a way of life. ✨ #leadership #leadershipcoach #careercoach #healthcareleadership #healthcareconsulting

    👯‍♀️“Lead from the side” I remember the first time my 1-up leader gave me some feedback using this phrase. She told me that I was bringing people with me, rather than pulling them along. 🏃‍♀️💨It’s funny because probably 3 years prior to that, I had received feedback that I was running out in front of my team with all my bright and shiny ideas and that my team was struggling to keep up. I had all these cool things I wanted us to do based on what our team was saying they needed. But it was a lot of change too quickly. At the time, I didnt see it that way. I didnt understand why people wouldn’t want changes they asked for. In my mind, I was getting shit done and on to the solving the next problem. ✅ 😮‍💨I was sprinting and my team was out of breath. Once I got that feedback, I changed my leadership style to inserting myself back into the mindset of everyone else on the team. I slowed down, and I metaphorically think of it as taking a walk with my people. We go where we need to go together. 👟👟 🎉When I started doing that, getting projects done because easier, and actually quicker. The reason.. Trust. 🤝 When you lead from the side, you build trust with your people. 👀When people see that you can see them and have their best interests in mind, they will not only go for that walk with you, but they will give you ideas to make their walk more fun and better for everyone. 💡 No one feels like they have to follow. They want to be there for the walk. ❤️Like and 👩🏼‍💼follow for more career and leadership tips.

    Day 28 of 30 #organizedin2024 🔮Do the annoying, monotonous things tonight for future you who will appreciate it! I know…it's almost 9PM Central, and as annoying as it is, there are a couple things that had to get done this evening that I didn't feel like doing, but I just did them anyway. Why? Because future me will thank me. 🙏 ⏰So this is your gentle nudge to take 5-10 minutes per thing and just get them done for future you. Here are some examples: ✅Make your lunch for tomorrow and save yourself $ instead of future you buying lunch or skipping it. ✅Set out your clothes for tomorrow instead of future you struggling with decision fatigue and realizing that those pants you finally decided on are nowhere to be found. ✅Load your car with your work bag or your kid's backpack so that it's there and future you isn't struggling with all the things trying to get out the door on time. ✅Throw a load of laundry in the wash before bed so that future you is one more step ahead in the cycle and can just move it to the dryer in the morning instead of starting with scratch. ✅Do a 2 minute surface clean off of your bathroom vanity while brushing your teeth before bed, putting away items that have been left out so that future you in the morning wakes up to a clean bathroom when you brush your teeth in the morning. We make these simple tasks feel really big in our minds, but they only take a few minutes. I know you got this. Future you will be so grateful!

Even if it’s just for you, in the comfort of your home by yourself, try letting go a bit… 💃🏼Sing in the shower, like really loud and badly 💃🏼Workout with your favorite playlist and get sweaty 💃🏼Shake it for yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how awesome you are 💃🏼Let yourself enjoy simple pleasures like your favorite treat, rom-com movie or book, or dumb TH-cam video 💃🏼Call up or text your friend and just be yourself without a filter on the phone Whatever you gotta do, just be you! Organizing and planning and strategy can feel very ridged. I do think there can be creative parts too, but those things have structure. We like structure, but sometimes we gotta break free and just knock over the perfect professional persona that we try to keep at work while we are out of the office. How are you letting loose this weekend? 🤘🎸Rock on, rockstars. Have fun just being and trying to be anything but you!

    Day 26 of 30 #organizedin2024 ☑️Is there anything you’re committed to that you don’t wanna be doing? Time to evaluate your boundaries and start communicating some no’s. This is your reminder (with love ❤️) that it’s not your job to make people like you. When we try to conform to other’s expectations or say yes to things other people think we should do, we’re not really being true to who we are and what we want. This means that your energy will attract other people like how you’re acting. So if you’re feeling ick about how you’re showing up or you just don’t feel like the people around you are the vibes you want, that’s a sign that you need to adjust your boundaries to align more to be true to you. ➡️Start by considering what bothers or triggers or about a situation. If you’re not sure, consider how you want to be showing up or what your gut reaction or response would be if you were unfiltered. ➡️Then consider how you might communicate with the person or group you’ve made the commitment to so that you can get more in alignment to self. ➡️Here’s an example of what you could say, “In this season, I really need to prioritize my evening time with my family. Although I think this opportunity is wonderful and I appreciate you thinking of me, after this final presentation, I’ll no longer be available. Thank you for understanding.” Are their any things you’ve agreed to at work or even as a caregiver or family member that are beyond your role that leave you depleted that you could set a boundary around? ❤️ I know this one is hard, but once you start to shift how you show up, you start to attract people who are like your true self who make you feel awesome. 🤩 These are your people. Your life will feel elevated!

    Day 25 of 30 #organizedin2024 Book a conference room for yourself at work, book your local library's private study room, or create a special spot where you don't normally work from at home for the day. Today's challenge is going out to you after my work day as I wanted to reflect on my team's strategy day and share my insights to give you ideas for your own strategy day! For most of January, we've been getting ourselves organized with this #organizedin2024 challenge! So far we've… ✅Created lists of ways to help ourselves prepare for work and school after breaks, weekends, or just long days. ✅Established systems and noted recurring “just gotta do it” items that happen each week or month. ✅We've come up with ideas for how to take care of ourselves, replenish, and preserve our energy. ✅We've established some sort term, monthly goals. ✅We've took time to start resetting our homes a bit and clearing our minds. And more lol 😅 As we draw near the end of the month, it's time to put it all together. ➡️Today was my Blood Bank team's 2024 strategy day where we took all of the brainstorming 🧠, all of the ideas 💡, and all of the notes we've made on what's working/what's not working, and put them into an action plan for the entire year. 🌸But the beauty of this is that we did it in a lovely, tech friendly, conference room at one of our clinics that is new, well lighted, next to the bathrooms, and close to a coffee shop 😂…AND away from their normal desks. Because of this, we were able to make the day feel low pressure, less formal, and interruption free. We could focus on our agenda - Celebrate and reflect on 2023, check in on our immediate team needs, establish our 2024 projects and roadmap, and review our “leadership team success norms.” Afterwards we took lunch together and just existed as human, not just co-workers. We had a great time celebrating, expressing gratitude, connecting, creating vision, and getting really excited for the year. ➡️ If you are feeling overwhelmed at this point in the year with your goals or work or you just really need to get it all on paper and out of your head, I recommend booking or creating a space like this away from your normal environment. It will allow your brain to think more freely and you won't be tempted by your everyday distractions or the normal interruptions. Make it slow. Make it intentional. And make it no pressure. Brain dump it out, categorize your ideas into buckets, and prioritize them by urgency and how much each thing would make your life or your customer's life safer, enhanced, or easier in 2024. Sometimes we need space. ❤️ No guilt. Go slow to move fast. This step will propel you into 2024 if you make the space.

    Day 24 of 30 #organizedin2024 Today is a reminder you can have a successful career, business, or side hustle and LOVE it AND also have extreme love for your family and kids. You don’t have to sacrifice love for one to love the other. And you don’t have to sacrifice your self love to love the others either. Have you ever gotten sick of the rat race or just the mess other parenthood? Sure! We probably all have. That’s normal. This is your sign that you can do it all…probably not all at the same time…but you can try to make progress with all your passions when you’re pulled to do that. You can do it slowly and that’s okay. Just can run in seasons when you have the energy, and that’s okay too. We see what we think other people are doing or are capable of and wonder, why can’t I do that? But all we see is what’s happening on the outside. We don’t know their internal struggles. Bottom line, comparison has no space here. If you wanna build your own business and be a working mom, do that. If you’re happy with your corporate 9-5, that’s perfectly fine too! This is your reminder to create the life that you want and that you enjoy. It’s our daily choices that determine our paths. 🩵You got this!

    Day 23 of 30 #organizedin2024 🏃‍♀️Make a list of possible projects you’d like to do and have a conversation with your boss about which ones should take priority and would be in alignment with this year’s goals. 🏃 Believe me, I’ve ran into the New Year hella excited to get all my projects kicked off and show results by end of Q1. 🔥 But guess what, that approach only works when you’re an individual performer who wants to burnout quickly. 🐢 A previous leader of mine used to recite the words from the book, “The Slight Edge” which says - “Go slow to move fast.” In the context of our work priorities, this means a few things: ✅Being thoughtful about the projects we select and not trying to do everything ✅Being mindful of our and our team’s capacity over the span of the year ✅Planning quick wins to build momentum and encourage your team ✅Checking in on the plan monthly to adjust or change the plan as needed. ➡️Strategy always wins. 🎬Start by making a list of all the possible projects you and your team could work on. Then brainstorm with your team about the ones that would help you all have the biggest bang for your buck and even make life easier or safer for you and your customer. You want them to be excited about the work they will be doing. Talk about timing and when during the year you will spread out this workload. Bring that list to your boss and have them approve that it’s aligned with their and the organization’s goals. 🗺️Once the projects are approved you now have a yearly roadmap for your team. Whenever other work pops up, you compare it to your roadmap to see if it can be part of one of those projects or if it would help us accomplish the roadmap goals. If it’s not in alignment, you either don’t touch that new project or you decide if another project must go to make room for it. 👏🏻That is how you have a team that hits all their goals by the end of the year. I’ve been doing this with my Blood Bank team as a manager since 2019, and I’ve refined it over time as I’ve learned how it works for them. 2023 was the easiest year by far to manage them because they self managed by using the roadmap guidance.

    Day 22 of 30 #organizedin2024 🔄 Try on a new mindset. Instead of “Why can't I get things completely done?” …You tried this instead…"What if the goal was to move along the cycle of doing?" Today I've got an awesome podcast episode for you breaking this down. We're talking about cycles in our life that are just never done. The ones that keep going and going and going… You know the ones… - Laundry - Dishes - House maintenance/cleaning - Email Inbox Management - To-Do List Management Like I shared earlier in this challenge, I really struggled with laundry for a while. There's just a lot of it! But I discovered this mindset shift that I wanted to share with you that can apply to any of the cycles in life where the thing isn't really ever done (except for maybe like 5 minutes, an hour, or a day). You can use this mindset if you're struggling to get things "completely done!" If you started out the year with good intentions, set goals or resolutions, and you've missed a day and felt like quitting on your goals because you didn't do things perfectly, I feel you…Guess what, that's totally normal too. We talk about how it's okay to miss a day and how, in fact, your progress is still good progress. We talk about "all or nothing thinking" or "black and white thinking," and we also discuss how this is related to "cycles" in our lives. You will leave today's episode feeling like you can get the shit that you need done without shame and without getting it completely done all the time. Click on the related video below to watch or listen to today's episode.🥰 Happy Monday, you got this!

    Day 21 of 30 #organizedin2024 📚Organize your books and bookshelves. Let go of the ones you aren’t going to read and the ones you’ve read and no longer need. Consider donating them. 💔If you love books, you know this can be a challenge so let me give you some tips. I feel like our books can sort of become part of us or very sentimental. At least that’s how they were for me. But I had so many read ones and a good couple handfuls of ones I wanted to read filling up my book shelves and night stand. 🥰I noticed that displaying some of them, only my very favorites brought me joy and reminded me of what I was working toward, visually bringing up the lessons I had learned from them when I saw them. 😬The ones I hadn’t made time to read told me I sucked for not reading them. Harsh lol But fast forward to today, I’ve chosen to donate probably 80% of my books. I know…I was shocked. I’m a book lover! I found that I didn’t ever reference the books I thought I’d look back at. And the books I wanted to read, I didn’t want to read bad enough to make time for them. So, I picked my very favorites and ruthlessly donated the rest. And I got a lot of space back. I’m not saying you have to be that extreme, but one of my goals this year is doing more audio books and less physical ones. It’s just what I have time for and in alignment with my goal to bring less things into my home. Decide what’s right for you, and take 5-10 minutes looking through your books, straightening them, and finding which ones are your fave. Consider this a reset and taking of inventory. 🥰 If I were to open a physical store, it would be a coffee cafe ☕️ with lots of plants 🪴 and a reading and journaling nook. We’d have lots of stationary haha 😂 Who else is a book lover?!

    Day 20 of 30 #organizedin2024 📝Make a list of a few areas in your home that you’d like to simplify over the next few months. Spend 10-15 mins making progress on these areas daily, every other day, or whenever you make time for this. I used to think I needed “dedicated” time or a “whole weekend” to focus on simplifying or decluttering. But the fact is, decluttering or organizing for an entire day, weekend, or even a few hours is exhausting! And then sometimes you end up with a bigger mess that you’ve got to push back all together for the next session. 😥 We don’t think of 10 - 15 minutes as a lot of time, but because it’s small, it’s manageable and acheiveable. Whenever I think a task is going to be too overwhelming, I tell myself I’ll just do it for 10 or 15 minutes and if I hate it, I can stop then. But more often than not, I just keep going if I have more time. ➡️That’s because starting is harder than making progress once you’re already going. If you’re skeptic if 10 or 15 mins can really do much, follow this trick ⬇️ 🪄Take a “before” picture of your space. Then after each 10-15 min simplifying or decluttering session, take an “after” pic. When we’re in it, sometimes it’s hard to see how what we did made a difference. But when you compare the pics side by side, it will be easier to see the difference over time. ❓What areas are you wanting to simplify in your home? PS📝This “I love lists…” notepad will be available in my shop soon! I cannot wait to make it available to you! If you’re in my email 📧 community, you’ll be notified of it’s launch day and any promos first, so watch 👀 your inbox! If you’re not in my 📧community, hop over to the link in my profile to sign up. 🥰

    Day 18 of 30 #organizedin2024 🚥 Keep going! Tomorrow is quitter’s day. But you are not going to participate. You’re going to keep going. I heard @melrobbins talking about this concept on her podcast today. She shared that according to research, people quit their goals and resolutions on day 19. If you started on January 1st like we did with this 30 day challenge, day 19 is tomorrow. Maybe you had the burning itch to get started on Jan 1. Maybe you had thought an IG buddy or a close work friend was going to do this challenge or any other number of January challenges with you…but they’ve sort of dropped off recently. If that’s you, I get it. Even I feel the slump. The weather is shit here in Minnesota and it’s cloudy and really hard to get excited about another gloomy day. But guess what, we’re in this race together, and I’m totally cheering you on! Mel gave the analogy of watching a marathon and seeing the pros come in fast in no time flat and then the other folks who are crawling to the finish like, but guess what…they haven’t stopped. They might be walking, but they are still in it! I watched my husband train for and do Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN this past summer, and man was it freaking motivational! The energy of the crowds made me believe, man, maybe I could do this too! The smiles of the people finishing even though it was the hardest feat of their lives so far. Priceless. So today and for the rest of our challenge at least, like Mel said, I’m here cheering you on! You are not gonna let a cloudy day or self doubt creep in and make you wonder why you’re doing this challenge in the first place. You’re gonna remember that you had a goal to get organized this year, and that you’re gonna take small steps each day to do it. So I’m here, and you’re here! Let’s keep going. Comment, “I’m here!” in the chat if you’re still in!

    Day 16 of 30 #organizedin2024 🍭Treat your self! ➡️Here’s the question…”How can you make today vibrant for you?” 🌈 Vibrant ✨Full of life. Energy. Enthusiasm. Tell me, in the last week have you gone through the motions of life? 😑The monotonous motions. 🪩 There can be a lot of pressure to make this year a “new you!” And it leads to unrealistic expectations of how we should show up every day. That’s a lot of energy. ➡️ But what if you decided the small moments were the ones you’d focus on instead? What if that was vibrant living? 🌈 Making a cake with your kid just because 🌈 Buying yourself or your partner flowers (yes, dudes liked to be treated too) 🌈 Your first sip of coffee in your favorite mug 🌈 Getting organized and feeling confident as shit about it. 🌈 At home date night in the evening. 🌈 Texting your best friend while you’re laying in bed at 7pm bc you’re 25 weeks pregnant (oh wait…that’s my personal luxury 😂) There are so many more things you can do without spending a ton of money or looking glamorous right where you are today. Not in the future that never comes. ☀️ Enjoy today. 🪴Pretty sure I forgot more house plants in this list. I’m searching for an African violate or a pothos 🌱😎 ❓How can you treat yourself to a vibrant life today?

    Day 15 of 30 #organizedin2024 🎯Check in on your January goal you set. What progress have you made so far? What else can you do to make progress toward meeting your goal in the second half of this month th. 🥸Alright, so maybe you’re feeling defeated and like an imposter because you haven’t done much except set a goal in the early days of this challenge. 😎Or maybe you’re like, my goal is achieved! Either way, here’s why it’s important to check in on your goals and really understand them. Top reasons to check in on your 🎯 ➡️ Goal setting is not always about achieving your goal. It’s about setting a direction for where you wanna go and creating momentum. I always say I want to be a vector - having magnitude and direction. Goals help us do that. ➡️ If you’ve achieved your goal already this month, was it the right goal? Could you set a goal on top of that goal? Maybe it was too easy? ➡️ If you’ve achieved your goal already this month, did you enjoy the process of meeting it? Or did you power through our of anxiety of having an item on your to-do list? What’s the point if you’re not enjoying growing, setting yourself up for success, or doing the thing? ➡️If you haven’t taken steps to meet your goal, does it still feel like the right goal? Is the goal too big? ➡️If you haven’t taken steps to meet your goal, could you break it down into a smaller goal or set mini milestones for the rest of the month to help you make meaningful, yet achievable progress? ✨And here’s the cool part, just by having written down a goal, you’re more likely to achieve it than if you never physically write it down. So you’re already ahead. Take a couple steps today to create a habit (pair it with something you already love to do, like drinking coffee ☕️ 😂), and take steps regularly these last 2 weeks of January to set your direction and magnitude (a sustainable pace for you). There are 12 months in 2024. This is 1 of 12. Let’s do this. 🥰🎉 ❓Share - How is your goal progress going? I’ll be in the comments answering questions or giving motivation. Tell me what you need!

    Day 14 of 30 #organizedin2024 💰Budget Goals! Do you have any $ goals for 2024? Write them down and collaborate with the family on how to achieve these. Not a sponsored post, but I have to plug @thebudgetmom! Miko’s Budget By Paycheck method has helped me: 1️⃣ Not be afraid to look at my bank account 2️⃣ Pay off credit card debt while still enjoying my life and taking vacations 3️⃣ Understand where all my $ are going everyday to increase self awareness and spending habits 4️⃣ Prioritize savings. We have 529’s for both our kids and our retirement accounts are setup. 5️⃣ Create a plan for paying off other debt methodically and rather quickly - like my car and our mortgage. Each year I sit down and think about what would be awesome to do with my $ to set me and our family up for success. Some year’s it’s been saving for Christmas 🎄 spending in cash and setting a goal $ amount. This helped not put gifts on credit and have the money ready instead of squeezing it into a paycheck budget. Another year it was having money set aside for my kids bday’s. A few years ago it was paying cash for our flights ✈️ and hotel in New York when we did IVF to have our son. These goals help prevent set backs that spiral 🌀 my finances out of control. 🤔 Think about what’s important to you or what would give you piece of mind this year, and prioritize that. ✨Pro tip - Avoid setting too many $ goals. Focused energy seems to help me so that I have enough $ to put toward one or two areas instead of like 15 different buckets. ❓What spending, budget, or savings goals do you have this year? Share in the comments if you’re comfortable. 🙋🏼‍♀️Mine is paying off my Durango 🚙 a year early within the first half of the year! I’ve got $9448.73 left on it! I’m motivated to get rid of this monthly car payment and put it toward my student loans.

    Day 13 of 30 #organizedin2024 🧺🧽Consider home or family routines. What’s working and what’s not? What can you tweak or change to better fit your life? There are just some household chores that are harder than others. And they are different for each person or family. I hate the feeling of dirty dishes, but I actually don’t mind doing laundry. The part about laundry is that it’s never done. It’s actually a cycle. Most things for maintaining our home are like this, but we often think of them as done or not done. And when it’s unclear who is responsible for certain routines or tasks, or if someone isn’t doing what they said they would, it’s time to have an open family conversation. What does our family need? For our family, I’m committed to ensure myself and our kids have clean clothes. I’m not committed to making sure there aren’t dirty clothes… 🤯Yup! That’s because laundry is cyclical. 🔄 There is always clean and dirty laundry - unless you’re naked while you do your laundry 😆 I mean, no judgement. I’m also committed to expecting respect of the laundry room. It’s not a dumping ground anymore for people to leave their things or items that they don’t know what to do with. It’s a place to functionally do our laundry. Period. So over time, I tried various laundry maintenance methods. Here’s the one that’s been working the longest (it could change, right?!) ✅I do a part of the laundry cycle a few times a week. Loading dirty laundry to the washer or to the dryer, folding laundry or putting it away. ✅I do not save laundry for one day of the week bc my weekend is already full enough with family time. I am done resenting my family on the weekends while I slave away trying to impossibly tackle weeks of laundry by myself. ✅I time myself when I fold - I hate folding the most, so I time myself to show me it actually takes less than 5 mins to fold one load. Not that big of a deal to put it off now - just do it and it’s done. ✅I communicate with my family so they know when laundry has been put away and that there are clean clothes for the week. I tell them where to put their dirty clothes so I know where to look for it. It does not belong on the couch or in the hallway! ✅I ask people to contribute by putting away folded clothes. I hand them the piles. Haha😂My daughter who is 5 and a half actually likes helping me which is great. ✅I don't do my husband's laundry. 😁But I will help him if I notice he's maxed on his capacity with work and life stuff and I have more capacity. This is infrequent, but has been good for us. ❓So what is your home or family routine that is needing attention? Pick one and see what tiny shifts in routine or mindset (like my revelation that laundry isn't “done” it's always “in process” and the goal isn't no dirty clothes, but that there are clean clothes! 👏❤️ You got this!!!

    Day 12 of 30 #organizedin2024 💭Check in with yourself. How do you feel? How are your energy levels? How do you want this weekend to go? Just a small pause in your day today…notice with out judging yourself for however you feel. ➡️ Decide - Is this the vibe I want to sustain? ✅ If yes, ride that out and plan some things that will help you reach - achievement unlocked! - for this weekend. ❌ If no, decide what you need to do to pivot and align with the vibes you want. Take a breath, and draw an invisible line in your mind (or a real one on a piece of paper) and say, “begin again.” Set an intention for how you want to show up and feel this weekend. 🩵 Feel good about your choice and give yourself permission to say yes to what you what to or have energy for and no to the things that drain it that you don’t have capacity for right now: ✨ You got this. 🥰 ❓What is your favorite spot to unwind? This video is from my parent’s cabin in northern WI. I love it!
