Yes, let's fight people selling them or sitting on them by making them limited. That always works. Regardless, Batch 2 sold out at $65 per, so I am assuming the next batch will be $70+ ;). The name immediately reminded me of RL Burnside. So, I will be on the hunt for one for that reason. Thanks for the review and I look forward to trying to get one in the future.

Enjoyed the video. Found and purchased the Copper Cask Cigar blend on your recommendation. Amazing!!!!! Thank you!! Have been very disappointed with Redwood's offerings in 2024. The Emerald Giant Cask Strength was one of my worst of the year. All the low proofers at $40 were fine, but nothing better than stuff I can find for $30. Grizzley, Rocket, Foggy - all $99 - interesting but not worth the cash. But alas the power of branding. Redwood does a great job with this head-to-toe, but it doesn't make up for their generally overpriced and overhyped juice. Sounds like the Haystack is more of the same.

I did get a 116 proof high rye bourbon here in Connecticut for under $120. Im sure it just depends on the state pricing. This high rye bourbon % is the same as their newer Devils Tower release mash. Makes me wonder why they didnt use the bottled in bond mash as single barrels..but they certainly could be sitting on those as well. A friend sampled me on a Haystack Needle rye he picked up. Loads of caramel on that which was a surprise (had next to sourced MGP 95/5 single barrels and Old Overholt 11) so that note made it stand out. Also Redwood Empire just bought the Savage & Cooke distillery. So im guessing they are looking to expand future capacity. Looking forward to more of what they come up with.

I have seen some retailers having this at $115-120, so not sure why they had it for $150 on their site. Also, they have 3 different mash bills: The wheated, the high rye bourbon and the rye whiskey. I found the high rye bourbon mash to be my favorite!

I’ve heard more than once that RR 15 is not perfect….not that I would know, 😂

The one that wins the crown is the one I can afford to buy and easily available.. so.. WildTurky 101 or an Old Forestor seem to do the trick.. you can keep your overpriced over hyped fancy bottles.
