Imagine finding out you're going to die and will be leaving behind your child, so you decide to build an entire village and create an elaborate series of tests via robotic villagers and hidden puzzles to lead an outsider to inherit your fortune and take care of your orphaned kid o_o This was such a cute game, I would've hated it as a kid cuz I suck at puzzles but watching it now I can tell why it became such a popular series at the time. The music SLAPS out of NOWHERE too what the heck 10/10 would watch again (this comment was definitely not written by one of Luke's bot accounts, nothing to see here professor)

SO, there's also a glitch involving companions and their armor. I forget how exactly it works, I think if you lose one ally and you gain another, during that play session, the new ally keeps the old ally's armor stats regardless of what armor they are *supposed* to be wearing (at least until you load the game in a new session). You would normally have had Reuben with you on the ship and then trade him in for Phoebe. Reuben has fire-resistant armor which is nice for the end boss, but it lacks Petrify resistance which means the Golden Web attack just plain sucks. Players who went from the Pirate Ship straight up to the Dark King who didn't use Cure on him were in for a nasty surprise when Petrify actually works on Phoebe because of the bug. It ends up being a status heal dance instead of just trying to heal from the damage of his spells.

what algorithmic coincidence, after I just re-100%ed this game & started to decompile(?) it! Really nice to see a truly fresh view on this game.

There should be arrows that appear when you click the shoe, and part of the matchsticks are glowing because every puzzle says 'touch' on the bottom screen before you click it for the first time. It looks like whatever layer has the 'touch' and arrow symbols is below some of the layers when it should be on top. I'm not sure how you can fix this since I've never emulated the game before but it's something to keep in mind
