Chronoforce stage is one of my favorites from this game. This stage was made for Buckfire, as you can clearly see. Not only is his movement not hindered by water, but there are so many ice blocks in the later half of the stage that only his attacks can cleanly break through. Some people might not like that, but honestly, this stage is one of my favorites to run through BECAUSE of Buckfire.
The tentacle miniboss in this game is WAYYYY better than in ZX, so it's kinda unfair that skipping it is an option in this game, specifically. Miniboss skip is very difficult to nail, and you risk getting crushed if you fail. Not only that, but unless you do some super precise things as Ashe, Model a is REQUIRED to complete the skip. Altogether, though, this skip can save you 12 whole seconds, so I'd say there's enough incentive to master it.
The stage as a whole is fairly straightfoward, though it might be tricky navigate if you hate ice physics. Only thing worth noting are the ice blocks towards the end, which can badly mess you up if your positionings are off.
Chronoforce is a terrifying boss. His DM loses you 20 whole seconds, which is obviously a bad thing, lol. To avoid this, drop his health to just above half, then wait for him to do something else before you attack. Grey has a much easier time doing this, mainly due to his stronger buster combos. In fact, his combo game is so good here that he can afford to use less homing shots total, which really comes in handy for the Oil Field elemental orbs (this strat saves 2 seconds btw).
Lemon-charge is a combo Grey can do by releasing your charge shot, then *quickly* pressing shoot again. Doing this releases a lemon, which flies out before the charge shot, and this combo does 6 damage. Not terribly useful, but for bosses like this, you can be quite flexible with it.
