DART Light Rail trains at Dwntn Carrollton ft. Delta 757-200 & (miscellaneous) stuff 9/12/24
After an after school event on September 12, 2024, I went to Downtown Carrollton Station to catch a few trains. It was pretty average, however what I didn't expect to see was a missing lens cap on the first train (you can see it in the thumbnail). When that train came the other way, it also had a broken LED sign on the other side 💀. Well, DART is an amazing transit agency, but it's funny to clown on them sometimes lol. Anywho, this day was pretty successful.

Went to EBJ Union Station for some decent action and got exactly that. Besides an F40 on the weekends (not sure if they do it now) and an LHF local, nothing was out of the ordinary. I did get quite a few horn salutes though. #train #railfan #railroad #unionpacific

(Taken 7/4/24) I had went out to Justin TX to begin what I thought would be a less interesting day to railfan. Instead of what we would usually see here, there seemed to be more ex-BNSF and CSX locomotives than normal.

While at a collaboration with @ntytp and @dallasrailfanner3870 , we managed to see LRV 187, which I heard was back in service that day but on the Red Line. What I didn't know was that it got switched to the Green Line and I was able to catch it, leading as well. Decided to do some railfanning on Independence Day. It was actually relatively busy, and there was some decent action in Saginaw. Looking good wiv the thumbnail, I would make it more mainline diesel/rare finds from the TRE. I just think the trams kinds kill the vibe of big strong diesel engines.

before I used my mom's phone (don't remember the model) from the beginning to about 2020 then used a Motorola phone (still don't know the model) from 2020 to 2022 and now I use a Samsung s22 which is soon to be upgraded once again

@@Hockeykid8310 well DART just be doin whatever they want at this point. But to tell you the real reason I believe sometimes they have a train that is sent out of the yard for rush hour, and i believe it's usually 2 cars but on occasion it'll be 1. Now that isn't 100% true so don't quote me on that but I do know there is at least some truth to that

@@dfwrproductionson occasions the Green Line will have 3 Car trains. The red blue and orange lines on special occasions may also use 3 Car Trains but maybe it’s just for the state fair and victory station rides

I retired from pax railroading maintenance in North America two years ago. I know all too well the necessary setup for running repair and heavy maintenance. Looking at these with no insider knowledge I would think maintenance would be easier compared to the traditional locomotive hauled coaches.
What was the Red Line doing at Ledbetter?
the real backstory is that on that train, both cars had LED sign malfunctions causing the other car to be stuck as the Victory LED, and then as you know the 263 to be stuck as Red Line to Parker Road. They apparently couldn't turn the signs off or change them, and in the days following they were turned off, however they are now fixed and operational today.
