Playing "Blue in Green" by Bill Evans using the beautiful and soft "Felt Upright" Piano Sound from the Nord Piano Library. I read that the piece was written by Miles Davis but several people told me it was actually Bill Evans who wrote it. I love this song because the composition is very short and provides a lot of space for interpretation.

I am a fellow Nord player and that sounds amazing. How do you get yours to sound so clicky? Would you share your Percussion setting? Do you have the vintage mode on, if so what level? I normally use mode 2. Great job.
Thanks alot! I think I used vintage 2, key click level higher, percussion volume soft: high (because I find non-soft too hard but soft too soft ;) )

I have never played a Kurzweil, unfortunately. But I have a Roland FA-08: Bad internal leslie simulation, but sounds good with Neo Ventilator. Nord has a very good internal leslie simulation. Of course for live playing, I would never use my Roland for organ sounds - it has no drawbars.

A real leslie definitely helps
You would HATE this thing if you've ever played a real Leslie. A motion sound Pro3T sounds FAR better! This sounds like rotary in a tuna can. I've had all 3 (Leslie 145 & 122, Pro3T, & 2101 MK2) in the same room this was pathetic & Swiftly returned. Definitely test before you buy & never buy it online used for that reason!
@@Daring2WinI dont want to carry the real thing. I played the motion sound once and I dont like it as much as the 2101. I never play without a bassist so the 2101 Sound is enough and I like the sound :)
@@henningdampel Definitely. To each their own. I had a Pro-3T with a Low Pro, so the bass was substantial, which was the only element that was superior to my real Leslie.
@@Daring2Win I´m about to buy a used Leslie 2101Mk2 and going to add active PA speakers for the bass. No problem there, outputs are available. Used to have the Pro-3T and didn´t like it. And yes I had an A100 and Leslie 22H...

Hey @henningdampel, is there no problem mounting the Leslie sideways? I've always assumed that Leslies should be upright to minimize strain on the motor. Great demo & playing!
I dont think its a Problem. The belt is holding the horn in the right Position. And I do it very rarely only for this video ;)

How to install the lights into the leslie?
Just glue two or three led stripes on the back wood panel and one stripe on the inner top side :)
@@henningdampel Is it battery operated or did you connect to the leslie power?
@@chrisgaalen its an extra power that I can plug from behind. I replaced the unstable led pin connector by a usb plug so its more comfortable and durable

hang on a second there now boy - what's keeping the Leslie horn on the spindle? wouldn't it work its way up and scrub the top of the cabinet?
Seems like its tight enough to stay where it should be :)
