Hi Darci & Mark! My wife and I have done several "Best of ..." tours with both Trafalgar and Insight (not Globus). We found the Insight better in terms of quality and location of hotels. Also in terms of options offered. Cheers!

Thanks! Would definitely recommend it.... In fact, Mary and I did it twice - once as separate individuals and once as a married couple... So that says something about the quality of the tour...

What Tour group did you go with? We're heading out in September, that's why I was looking through others Italy trips.

We found the group you went with depended entirely on the timing of the tour, i.e. tour date. We had different tour leaders and, in fact, some elements were quite different. On one we saw "The Last Supper", on the other we didn't. Also, dine-out locations were often different. Both tours, however, were entirely recommendable. Mind you, that was almost ten years ago. Goodness knows what the tours are like now... We have also done Insight tours; slightly better accommodation but not so many tour inclusions...
