    Hello. Very nice. Bravo. I didn't know they are bassists in Poland who play french bow. Is that a new tendency?

      @martinan2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think now it's very common in Poland also. But when it was recorded (7 yr ago) it was rare. I had to convince my teacher because I felt discomfort with German bow (and I haven't played another string instrument before). Best!

    It was really beautiful.. but I'm a bit bothered, because I can't see the accompanist's name anywhere. It is difficult job and a little appreciation would be nice. For instance, her name should be something natural to put in the description. You're not alone on the stage, performing. There's so much more to it. :D But it really was enjoyable. I'm going to play that piece as well. As an accompanist though :)

      You're right. It was my oversight. Cheers and good luck :)

    I'm guessing this is solo string tuning? doesn't sound like mine with orchestral tuning.

    • @martinan2
      @martinan2 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jamohamm1 Yes, I used solo tuning. I have to use it because later I played Bottesini Concert and I want to play on one bass.

    is this the lucio bucarella arrangement

      +Geoffrey Pugsley I don't think so. I played from Breitkopf & Hartel notes (edited by Klaus Trumpf). Piano also was original.

    Nice, but I have to ask, is either the piano or bass slightly de-tuned? Can hear it sort of

    • @TheJackHarkness

      Or maybe just one string?

      The bassist's intonation was slightly off during a few measures, yes.

    I started learning the bass when I was 11 years old on 1/2 bass (not on tuned cello). Before I played piano. But don't be afraid, you can start learnig the bass at any age and also be master in future. It all depends on how much time you spend on playing :)

    Wow, that was magnificent. I'm 18 and started learning the bass half a year ago. How long have you been playing the bass? I fear it will take me decades to be able to play this piece as good as you do....RESPECT!
