A rat once killed my best friend budgie. I had a feeling she was killed by a rat in their lair in the greenhouse. I was scared to shit so I took my dog with, and I was right. Her body was there, and the dog crunched her up. I didn't want the dog to do that, but to be fair, at least I didn't get to see her battle wounds from the rats that way. I want to destroy the rats, but I am also a very loving person, so I almost considered keeping them as pets. Until I remembered what they did to my dear Lewie. I'm sitting here, thinking about whether to be merciful or kill the bastards. A house sparrow's about a meter away from me in a small tree, looking oh so dear. But that tree has the wing bone of a jackdaw killed by a rat too, and that makes me be a bit more harsh-thinking about the rats. The rats have even invaded my home a few times, and maybe even now. They've got all the food, water, and shelter in the garden, so why do they kill my budgies and invade my home??? I hate those rats >:(

No, the parrot got grabbed and dragged down the rats hole, we have killed over 32 rats in revenge....so far, they keep coming back every year at this time.
I had the same problem but with a cat killing my frog and fish :( but I came to the realization that the cat is just being a cat. The cat doesn't know any better, so I shouldn't blame the cat. I didn't kill it unlike YOU. Plus the owners of the cat would be mad. But yeah, you can't blame animals, because they don't know the difference between wild, and pets.
That rat deserved to die. Rats should not be growing to that size and killing parrots. Humans sustain these rats behavior by leaving trash and food everywhere. Rats would be huge if we didn’t put a shred of effort into killing them like we do. It’s a correction.
That is foolish as fuck. Rats are notorious for this kind of thing. It's either cull them, or keep letting them kill your animals. Releasing them only means they'll come back and do it again, or do it to someone else.

I've had problems with these bastards and also mice intermittently over time in my aviary - I catch a few mice in traps and they disappear for a while but others always turn up in the long run. Rats I have dealt with by putting down poison.
Please don’t use poison. It can travel throughout the ecosystem. And poison owls and other native birds that eat mice and rats, it can also poison cats etc. please find other methods of killing rats that don’t use poison.
Thanks man! You are a BOSS! I have two budgies/parakeets myself and should not notice one day that they're both killed by those dirty pieces of cancer. I'd really squeeze it's dirty brains out after I tortured that walking shit pile.
